Today, on March 27, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced Combined Defence Services Examination (I) 2018 Result. The result has been announced online, on the official website. The candidates can check it via a PDF, in which the roll numbers of the qualifiers are mentioned. As per CDS I Result 2018, in all, 8261 candidates have qualified the examination.
To check the result, visit, upsc.gov.in. There, on the right hand side, click on the ‘written result’ tab. It will lead you to the result portal. Candidates will then have to access the CDS Result pdf, under download section and search their roll number.
Make sure that you are searching the roll number as mentioned in the admit card. The cutoff of the examination will be announced later on. Last time, the cutoff for CDS I went to 125 for IMA, 118 for INA, 144 for AFA, 82 for OTA (Men), and OTA 82 (Women).
The qualifiers will now be called for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. The candidates selected after SSB will be finally recruited and will be given training. Last year, the final cutoff was 249 for IMA, 241 for INA, 268 for AFA, 163 for OTA (Men) and 164 for OTA (Women)
However, for that, the candidates need to register online with Indian Army. For that purpose, the candidates need to visit, joinindianarmy.nic.in, and within two weeks register themselves. Once registered, the candidates will get a Selection Center and date for SSB interview, it will be e-mailed to the candidate. In case of any query, login, and e-mail to [email protected]
In case, there is any change of address, the candidates are advised to promptly intimate directly to
the Army Headquarters/Naval Headquarters/Air Headquarters as the case may be. – UPSC
The candidates are also required to submit original certificates for Age, Education Qualification, NCC (C) (Army Wing / Senior Division Air Wing / Naval Wing), etc.
CDS aspirants, whose first choice is IMA/SSC, need to send the copies of the documents to Army Headquarters, Army Headquarters, A.G.’s Branch/Rtg./CDSE Entry Section for males and SSC Women Entry Section for women candidates, West Block-III, Ground Floor, Wing 1, R.K. Puram, New Delhi 110066. In case the first choice was Navy, it to be sent to IHQ of MoD (Navy), DMPR (OI & R Section), Room No. 204, ‘C’-Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi-110011. If the first choice is Air force, then the documents are to be sent to the PO 3 (A) Air Headquarters, ‘J’ Block, Room No. 17, Opp. Vayu Bhawan, Motilal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110011.
For now, the candidates have to send self-attested copies of these documents. The original copies are to be submitted within two weeks from the end of SSB and before November 13, 2018 (for AFA), January 01 (For IMA), and January 01 (For NA). While the self-attested copies are to be sent to the Headquarters, the original documents are to be sent to UPSC.
The Union Public Service Commission have a Facilitation Counter near Examination Hall
Building in its Campus. Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding this examination on working days between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM, in person or over telephone No.011-23385271, 011-23381125 and 011-23098543 from this Facilitation Counter. – UPSC
The Commission will also release the marks sheet for the candidates. It will be released online, on upsc.gov.in, and will be uploaded within 15 days from the date of result publication or OTA result. The OTA result will be announced after SSB. Remeber, the mark sheet will only be available for 60 days, so do download it.
The admission to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 146th Course is commencing from January 2019. Even in Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, Course it will begin from January 2019. For Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course (205 F(P)) it is due to commence in February 2019, and for Officers Training Academy, Chennai 109th SSC Course (NT)(for Men) starts in April 2019. The course for Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 23rd SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course will start in April 2019.
