The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) has released the results for the C-CAT 2021 results for the PG Diploma courses yesterday, i.e. August 20, 2021 at cdac.in. The examinations were conducted on August 07 and 08, 2021. Candidates whose names appear on the rank list will be considered for admission.
Please note that candidates are awarded their ranks based on their performance in Section A, A+B and A+B+C. However, candidates will be given multiple ranks if they appear and qualify in multiple sections. For example, if a candidate has chosen Category II and has appeared in Sections A and B, then they will be provided two ranks. The first rank will rely on Section A’s performance while the second on Section B’s.
Once the centre/course is allocated, candidates can check the same by logging into the official website. They will also receive the details of the seat allocation over email. However, after the centre allocation is complete, no request to change the same will be entertained. The first installment fee that has to be paid is Rs 10,000 along with the applicable GST charges. Those candidates who will not be offered seats in the first round of seat allocation will be considered for the second round. This round will also be based on the preferences selected by the candidate before the first round of seat allocation. Note that seat allocations of the candidates who will fail to pay the first installment fee will stand cancelled.
The first counselling for online selection of course and centre has started on August 20, 2021 and will continue till August 26, 2021. After that, the first round of seat allocation will start on August 28, 2021. The last date for paying the first course installment fee is September 03, 2021. Likewise, the second round of seat allocation will start from September 06, 2021 while the last date for paying the first course installment fee for the second round is September 09, 2021. During the counselling session, the candidates have to fill in their preferences of courses and training centres.
The seat allocation will depend on the C-CAT ranks and also the course and centre preferences of the candidates. While using the choice filling software for selecting the preferred courses, candidates are advised to save their preferences. In case they don’t, then the unsaved preference list will be shown in a red background and will get lost once the candidate logs out. They can add, delete or change the order of their preferences during the first counselling session till August 26, 2021.
