The GSEB has released the Gujarat Common Entrance Test Result 2021 on its official website, result.gseb.org today. This year, around 1,13,202 candidates took up the GUJCET exam, out of which 46,013 and 66,909 participated for group A and group B respectively. The remaining 280 candidates appeared for both groups A and B. As per the result stats of this year, around 474 students from Group A have scored above 99 percentile. Along with this, 678 students from Group B have scored more than 99 percentile. As per the latest update, the merit list for the GUJCET exam will be released on September 01, 2021. The counselling process and admission process for the same will be held soon.
The candidates who have successfully passed the GUJCET exam 2021 need to participate in the counselling process for admission. The ACPC has commenced the counselling registration which will end on August 22, 2021. Once, the application form is complete and candidates have entered their preferences the authorities will release the merit list. The merit list for the exam will be prepared on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates. The merit list is going to be prepared on the basis of giving 50% weightage to the class 12th theory paper and the remaining weightage to GUJCET marks. The candidates who score marks equivalent to cut-off marks will be eligible to appear for the counselling process.
Once the registration process is over, ACPC will allot colleges to candidates on the basis of their merit and preference marked. The candidates who wish to participate in the counselling round need to pay the fee to freeze the seats and get the token. Thereafter, the concerned authorities of ACPC will cross-check the documents submitted by the candidates. On successful completion of the same, the candidates will be allotted college for the preferred course wherein they need to report to complete the admission formalities.
Although, a lot of top colleges accept the GUJCET exam marks for providing admission to eligible candidates. However, out of them, Nirma University, MSU Baroda, GEC, Gandhinagar, DDU NADIAD, and Sardar Vallabhai Patel Institute of Technology (Vasad) have been the top preference over the years. As per the previous year cut-off list, the opening rank of Nirma University was 2099. However, the same for DDU Nadia for Computer Science Engineering was 305. The GUJCET cut-off marks for MSU Baroda and GEC, Gandhinagar for Computer Science Engineering was 460 and 2314 respectively. The opening rank of Sardar Vallabhai Patel Institute of Technology (Vasad) for Computer Science Engineering was 5274.
