The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to conduct the 15th edition of the CTET exam. As per latest reports , the CTET 2021 will be held from December 16, 2021, to January 13, 2022, in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Although CBSE has not released the official information brochure of the next CTET exam yet, reputed sources including DD News and AIR have conveyed the notice. The CTET 2021 notification will be released two days from now, on September 20, 2021, on ctet.nic.in.
CTET Is the national level Teacher Eligibility Test for the award of lifetime TET certificates to candidates who qualify through the exam. With a CTET certificate, candidates will be able to apply for recruitment to the post of a teacher of Class I to VIII in schools around the country.
Screenshots of press releases being circulated on social media indicate that dates are now fixed, the CTET 2021 is to be held in December 2021 and January 2022 as per the schedule specified here (see image below).

The exam will be conducted in 20 languages this time at the national level. Once the information brochure releases, CBSE will commence the online registrations for the exam. The information brochure will indicate the complete details of the exam including eligibility, the application process, exam fee, syllabus, test centres etc.
The online application form for CTET 2021 will be out on September 20, 2021, with the release of the notification. On the other hand, the last date to register and apply online will be October 19, 2021, till 11.59 PM. Furthermore, the last date for payment of the application fee has also been determined to be October 20, 2021, till 03.30 PM.
General and OBC candidates intending to apply for only one paper of CTET (Paper I or Paper II) have to pay a fee of Rs 1000. The same is Rs 500 for SC/ST and PWD candidates. General and OBC candidates intending to apply for both papers of CTET 2021 have to pay a fee of Rs 1200 while SC/ST and PWD candidates have to pay Rs 600.
Candidates have to apply for the CTET 2021 exam only through the portal ctet.nic.in. Eligble candidates aspiring for the CTET 2021 exam to fulfil their dreams of becoming a teacher have to apply online as per schedule as soon as the CTET 2021 application form is released by the CBSE. However, applicants are advised to download and read the official notification carefully before applying.
As per reports and based on previous announcements made by the Central Board of Secondary Education regarding the conduct of the 15th edition of the CTET exam, there is a possibility for a change of the exam pattern this time. With the exam pattern changed, less factual based questions will be asked while more questions will be asked on the basis of conceptual understanding of topics, critical thinking, reasoning and problem-solving.
The complete details of the upcoming CTET 2021 exam will be intimated by the CBSE in the information brochure of the CTET 2021 exam. Candidates are advised to be vigilant on the official website for the release of the notification and commencement of the application form.
