Disability is not inability! CBSE Class 12th toppers in the differently able category have proved the statement correct. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced Class 12th Result today, on May 28, 2018. With it, the Board also revealed the toppers of the examination. The top three candidates in CBSE Class 12th Differently Able category are A Vijay Ganesh, Pooja Kumari, and Lavanya Jha.
A Vijaya Ganesh is a resident of Kerala and done is enrolled in Palghat Lions School Koppam Palakkad Kerala. He has secured 492 marks out of 500 in the exam and is the top rank holder under the category.
The second position has been secured by Pooja Kumari from Dehradun. Dealing with the visual disability did not break her, instead, Kumari secured 489 marks in the exam. She is from Model School for the Visually Handicapped, Dehradun.
Third rank holder is Lavanya Jha from Delhi Public School Sector XII R K Puram ND. Lavanya has got 487 marks in the exam.
The performance of the candidates under the category is remarkable. In all, 141 candidates have secured above 90% marks in the exam. The number of candidates who scored more than 95% is 25. The total number of candidates who scored more than 90% marks in the exam is 72599.
In comparison to last year, the overall pass percentage has increased by 1%. While last year, the pass percentage went upto 82.02, this year it is 83.01%.
The number of candidates appearing for the exam this year was also more than last year. In the year 2017, only 1020762 candidates appeared for the exam and of these 837229 passed. The number of qualified candidates this year is 918763 and the total number of candidates who appeared for the exam is 1106772.
Just like the last year, girls have performed marvelously well in the examination. The pass percentage of boys is 78.99%, while, the pass percentage for girls is above 9% in comparison. The overall topper of the examination is also a girl. Meghna Srivastava has aced the exam with 499 marks.
Second rank holder is Anoushka Chandra, from SAJ School. She has secured 498 marks in the exam. In the third rank, there are seven students, of which six are females. This is one of the best performances of the female candidates.
