Board of Secondary Education Odisha released the OTET admit card 2019 today around 11 am at bseodisha.nic.in, as it had promised yesterday. Although the website is facing some technical difficulties and is opening only sometimes, the login page for call letter download is loading fine. Candidates need to login with registration number and either password or date of birth form there. The date of birth has to be entered in dd-mm-yyyy format. As per the login page, last date to download admit card for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test is August 5, 2019.
Starting from three days from now the board will conduct the teacher eligibility test in three shifts on each day. The exam date and center assigned to each candidate is mentioned in the admit card. Identifying details of the test taker such as name, photograph, signature and other personal details are also mentioned in it. Besides, the details generated by BSEO such as exam center, date, instructions for exam, roll number are printed as well. Test takers must make requisite arrangements to reach assigned exam center with required documents on time.
OTET 2019 will be held from August 5, 2019, onwards.
Such candidates who had downloaded OTET admit card 2018-2019 for the January exam, also had to apply again for the OTET 2019 exam (fee payment was not necessary this time for them). They too have to download the fresh admit cards and use the new roll numbers. Old admit cards and old roll numbers of the cancelled OTET January exam will not be valid.
One of the common concerns of applicants is facing delay in accessing the page. In such cases, BSE Odisha says “Internet based Call letter download depends on various factors like Internet Speed, large number of Applicants trying to download the Call Letter at the same time etc. Therefore, if you are not able to download the Call Letter immediately, please retry after a gap of 5 minutes or during off-peak hours during the night.”.
The registration number and password required for admit card download are the same as the ones generated during registration. They were displayed on screen when form was submitted, and also sent to registered email ID of the applicant immediately after form submission.
If while trying to download the admit card, date of birth gets rejected on screen, then in that case one should check that DOB being entered is same as the one in their printed application form and is being entered in dd-mm-yyyy format.
Login failed message is another common issue. In this case, one needs to check entries being put in the login screen. Refer auto generated acknowledgement to ensure registration and password being entered are correct, and DOB being tried for login matches that in application form.
OTET 2019 shall have paper 1 and paper 2. Candidates need to obtain 60% (90 out of 150 marks) in order to qualify it. After the paper leak controversy earlier this year, BSE Odisha cancelled the January exam, and invited application forms of OTET 2019 from July 15 to 26, 2019. Now just a week after closing the form, admit card has been issued.
