Banaras Locomotive Works has released a latest notification for the recruitment of 374 ITI and Non-ITI apprentices. Notification No. 44th Batch Act.Appt/2020 invites application from 10th pass and ITI passed candidates to fill up the vacancies as per Apprentices Act, 1961. Interested candidates can read the notification available at blwactapprentice.in and apply online by paying an application fee of Rs 100. The last date of submission of online applications is February 15, 2021, till 04.45 PM. The application fee can be paid online till February 17, 2021, till 04.45 PM.
As per the official notification, 300 vacancies are available in the ITI category and 74 vacancies are available in Non-ITI category. The detailed vacancy distribution is indicated in the official notification across UR, SC, ST, OBC and EWs categories. The vacancies are available for the posts of Fitter, Carpenter, Painter, Machinist, Welder (G&E) and Electrician in both the categories. Selected candidates are to be paid a monthly stipend as per Railway Board’s instructions issued from time to time.
BLW Recruitment 2021 of 374 ITI & Non ITI Apprentices Official Notification
All applicants must have attained 15 years of age as on the last date of online application. Candidates intending to apply for Non ITI posts must be within the age of 22 years while candidates intending to apply for ITI posts must be within the age of 24 years. The upper age limit for Welder and Carpenter trades is 22 years. Candidates belonging to special reserved categories are eligible for relaxations on the upper age limit as per norms indicated in the official notification.
Candidates must have passed Class 10 exam with 50% or more marks in order to apply for the Non ITI posts. On the other hand, candidates intending to apply for ITI posts must have passed Class 10 exam with 50% or more marks as well as an ITI trade course. The qualifications must be obtained before the date of issue of notification.
BLW is going to prepare merit lists in each category on the basis of marks obtained in the Class 10th exam. In the Non ITI selection, ITI candidates may also be selected but they are not given any weightage of ITI score. In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, the candidate older in age is to be preferred. In case the age of the applicants is also same, the candidate who passed the Class 10 exam is to be preferred.
Selected candidates are to be appointed under an apprenticeship contract with the Banaras Locomotive Works. Candidates must note that they are not allowed to apply for more than one trade. In order to apply, an application fee of Rs 100 must be paid through online modes of debit/credit card or internet banking. Those who are applying under the seats of Act Apprentice have to pay Rs 100 and applicable service charges. SC/ST, PWD and women candidates are exempted from the payment of the fee. It is mandatory for all applicants to register at the Regional Directorates of Apprenticeship Training (RDAT) website i.e. apprenticeship.gov.in and obtain the registration number.
