Bihar STET 2019 candidates have a good reason to rejoice now that authorities have responded to protests on digital platforms and decided to release the pending results of the Bihar STET 2019-2021 by the next week. Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) is conducted for recruitment of teachers in Secondary & Senior Secondary levels. As per reports, the pending results will be out by June 22, 2021.
The Bihar STET was held earlier on January 28, 2021 and as per reports, the result of three papers are still pending. The exam is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Bihar. Latest media release states that the Principal Secretary of the Education Department has confirmed on Wednesday this week that the result of the Bihar STET pending subjects will be released by June 22 following protests by STET candidates who have taken the test earlier, on digital platforms.
Reports state the the Bihar STET 2019 results were declared in March for 12 out of 15 subjects. The result of the 03 subjects of Urdu, Sanskrit and Science were kept on hold after allegations of question paper leak emerged in centres at the Gaya district of Bihar earlier in January 2020.
As per latest reports, Principal Secretary of the Education Department Sanjay Kumar has assured that a meeting was held earlier on Tuesday between officials of the Education Department and the Board of Secondary Education (Bihar) to review the status of the result of the pending subjects. While the technical partner of the BSEB was also reportedly present, as per Secretary Kumar’s statements, technical issues have been sorted out and candidates can expect the result of the pending BSTET 2019-2021 subjects to be released on or before June 22, 2021.
Times of India reported that the Principal Secretary, in his statements has acknowledged that the results of the pending subjects were withheld following the paper leak incident in Gaya examination centre following which, the exam was cancelled. Although the BSEB conducted a re-exam in September, as per directive of the Patna High Court, it was forbidden to release the result in parts. Principal Secretary Kumar said that the result will be published after sorting out such complexities.
As per reports, more than 100 candidates were expelled from the exam centre in Gaya following the incident of paper leak. The exams were cancelled and the re-exam was conducted from September 09 to 21, 2021. The board was directed to conduct the re-exam of the expelled candidates as well after they moved to court. The final result to be released by June 22, will contain the result of the expelled candidates as well, as per latest reports.
