The National Council of Education, Research and Training (NCERT) is scheduled to declare the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) stage 2 result 2020 on July 10, 2021. However, it is relevant to note that the council was also supposed to release the final answer key of the same exam on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
As of now, the council is yet to release the same on the official website ncert.nic.in. Since the answer key release has gotten delayed, the question arises whether this can lead to a delay in results as well. Insofar, there has been no official announcement issued by the council acknowledging this issue.
On May 19, 2021, the council released a public notice on the official website ncert.nic.in. The council had received a number of queries regarding the NTSE Stage II 2020 results due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The national-level talent exam was conducted on February 14, 2021. However, due to the ensuing second-wave, there were lingering doubts among candidates regarding the test results.
Reassuring the aspirants, NCERT clarified that the assessment and result processing work is still in progress despite the pandemic. There have been no disruptions in this process irrespective of the prevailing COVID-19 conditions. Thereafter, candidates shall be able to check their OMR sheets along with the final answer key on June 15, 2021, on the official website. Furthermore, the final results are expected to come out by July 10, 2021.

This clearly implied that NCERT will announce the results on or before the specified date. Despite this clarification, students waited ardently for the answer key to come out. However, NCERT is yet to release the same on their website. Hence, results are also likely to come out after July 10, 2021, if this delay impacts the result processing work. However, these are mere assumptions and NCERT has not issued any statement in this regard. Hence, candidates are advised to keep a track of the official website or follow reliable websites for any important updates about the announcement of NTSE Stage II 2020 results.
Once the answer key is out, candidates must visit the official website and click on the “NTSE State II Result 2020 final answer key” link displayed on the homepage. By doing so, a new pdf shall open in which candidates have to click on the available link. They are advised to download this document and check their answers carefully to determine their approximate scores.
As per reports, a total of 7,586 candidates appeared for the NTSE Stage II 2020 examination on February 14, 2021. The exam was conducted across 58 centres located in 40 cities including Srinagar, Kolkata, Chennai, Port Blair, Gangtok, etc. Through this exam, as many as 2000 shortlisted candidates shall be awarded scholarships to pursue higher education in their preferred fields.
