Army Recruiting Office, Calicut is inviting applications from candidates belonging to the UT of Lakshadweep for recruitment of Soldiers in the Indian Army. A recruitment rally is scheduled to be conducted at Kannur (Kerala) tentatively from February 20 to March 31, 2021 (exact dates to be intimated later). Intending candidates who are suitably qualified have to register online at joinindianarmy.nic.in from December 23, 2020, to February 05, 2021. Admit cards to appear in the selection rally are to be issued 1 week before the rally date. As per the advertisement, the vacancies are for various categories of Soldier posts. Candidates within the age of 17.5 to 21 years can apply for the Soldier General Duty (All Arms) post. For all the other posts i.e. Soldier Technical, Soldier Tech Nursing Assistant (AMC)/Nursing Assistance Veterinary, Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical/Inventory Management (All arms), Soldier Tradesman 10th Pass and Soldier Tradesman 8th Pass, candidates within the age range of 17.5 to 23 years can apply.

Applicants must also comply with the post-specific physical standards and minimum educational qualifications. Class 10th pass candidates who have secured 45% aggregate and 33% in each subject can apply for Soldier GD post. 12th pass candidates who have studied Science (PCB and English) can apply for Soldier Tech Nursing Assistant (AMC) post provided that they have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject. Similarly, Class 12th pass candidates (any stream) are eligible to apply for Soldier Clerk post provided that they have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate and 50% in each subject. It is also mandatory to secure at least 50% in English and Maths/Account/Book Keeping in Class 12 to apply for this post. Simple 10th pass and 8th pass candidates are eligible to apply for respective Tradesman posts.
Candidates have to appear at the rally site as per schedule indicated on the admit cards. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card, 20 copies of recent unattested colored passport sized photographs and other specified documents to the rally site. At the site, candidates have to pass through three type of tests i.e. physical fitness test, physical standards measurement and medical test.
Those who qualify the aforementioned stages at the rally site are to be issued an admit card for the Common Entrance Exam to be held on a later date. Only those candidates who qualify through all the stages as specified above are to be selected for issue of Rahadari Certificate and deployment to training.

Recruitment to army does not require the applicants to pay any application fee at least for this recruitment.
