Assam Public Service Commission has published a latest recruitment advertisement to fill up 23 vacancies in various departments of the state government. The vacancies are for the posts of Assistant Engineer, Language Officer and Director. Eligible and intending candidates can apply for recruitment to the aforementioned vacant positions through the website apsc.nic.in starting today i.e. December 07, 2020. Online applications can be submitted till January 07, 2021. However, applicants will be able to pay the application fee till January 09, 2021, up to 06.00 PM.
Among the 23 vacancies, 19 are available for the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) under PWD (Building & NH). 03 vacancies are available for the post of Language Officer (Assamese) in the Office of the Assam Official Language under the Legislative Department. In addition, 01 vacancy is available for the post of Director of the Directorate of Archives, Assam under the Secretariat Administration (Estt.) Department. All of the vacancies are to be filled up on a direct recruitment basis.
Candidates appointed to the post of Assistant Engineer are entitled for monthly compensation in the pay scale of Rs 30000 to 1,10,000 in addition to Grade Pay of Rs 12,700. Language Officers are appointed at the pay scale of Rs 22000 to 97000 in addition to Grade Pay of Rs 11800. For the post of Director, the monthly remuneration will be as per the scale of pay Rs 30000 to 1,10,000 in addition to Grade Pay of Rs 15100.
APSC RECRUITMENT 2020 FOR ASSISTANT ENGINEER & OTHER POSTS OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION
APSC has specified post-wise minimum eligibility conditions which must be fulfiled by applicants. Candidates within the age of 21 to 38 years can apply for the Assistant Engineer post if they have a B.E./B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering. Those who have passed Parts A & B of AMIE are also eligible for this post. Applicants must have adequate knowledge of at least one official language of the state apart from English.
Those who have a Law degree with Assamese as one of the subject studied in the degree course can apply for the post of Language Officer. For the post of Director, candidates who have passed at least Second Class MA in Modern Indian History and have acquired one-year Diploma in Archival Science from National Archives of India, New Delhi are eligible to apply. The age limit for candidates applying for recruitment to this post is 45 to 55 years.
Aspiring candidates are advised to refer to the official notification to know the complete eligibility conditions and other details. The Commission will conduct zone wise examination/test followed by final interview for the selection of candidates.
Intending candidates can apply online at the official APSC website i.e. apsc.nic.in as per schedule. General/EWS candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 285.40 which includes processing fee and taxes. SC/ST, OBC, MOBC candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 185.40 while for BPL and PwD candidates, the application fee is only Rs 35.40. For further details, refer to the official notification.
