West Bengal Pollution Control Board is conducting a recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Environmental Engineer, Junior Environmental Engineer, Environmental Analyst, Senior Accounts Clerk, Accounts Clerk, Laboratory Assistant and Junior Environmental Assistant. WBPCB has also published an official notification with Advt. no. 01/WBPCB/2020 on wbpcb.gov.in. As per the notice, the conducting body has announced 48 vacancies for the recruitment. The application process will start from December 10, 2020. The last date to submit the applications before December 31, 2020.
Out of the total vacancies, 05 vacancies are for Assistant Environmental Engineer, 12 for Junior Environmental Engineer, 03 for Environmental Analyst, 05 for Senior Accounts Clerk, 03 for Accounts Clerk, 07 for Laboratory Assistant and 13 for Junior Environment Assistant. Applicants recruited for these posts get a monthly salary depending upon the post.
To submit applications for the said posts, candidates have to ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria. For the post of Assistant Environmental Engineer/ Environmental Analyst/ Senior Accounts Clerk, candidates must have a Bachelor degree concerned department. They should also have Computer Knowledge. To apply for Junior Environmental engineer, candidates must have Diploma in Biotechnology/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Mechanical/ Civil/ Environmental/ Instrumentation/ Automobile or Public Health Engineering. 12th pass candidates can also apply for Laboratory Assistant, Junior Environmental Assistant, Accounts Clerk.
Applicants should have a minimum work experience to apply for these posts. Those who are applying for Environmental Analysts post should have a minimum of 02 years of work experience in any Environmental Laboratory Work. To apply for Laboratory Assistant post, candidates must have a minimum of 02 years experience Environmental Laboratory of Government/ Statutory Organization/ academic Institute.
Along with the educational qualification, aspirants should also meet the age limit. Applicants age should not be less than that of 18 years while applying. Also, their age should not exceed the maximum age limit of 37 years as on November 01, 2020. The upper age limit is also relaxable for the reserved category aspirants.
