All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) observed that many applicants did not complete their form. Also, many candidates have deficiencies in their form. In light of this, AIIMS 2018 Application Form is being re-opened, albeit, only for those who have already paid fee.

Candidates can login to complete their forms and make corrections from March 8 to March 12. In this duration, one can add all details in the form in order to complete it. Also, deficiencies can be corrected in this time duration only. Candidates must check their registered email address and mobile to see if AIIMS has sent them any notice about deficiencies in form. If yes, then they should definitely be taken care of in this duration only, later, no one will get a chance to correct data for AIIMS 2018.

The notice says

This is for the kind information of all the applicants who have registered themselves for the AIIMS MBBS-2018 Examination up to the last date i.e. 05th March, 2018.

Since despite SMS/emails several candidates have not completed their Application Form or have not made such corrections, the competent authority has decided to give such applicants another chance (only those candidates who have submitted the fee but could not complete their remaining steps of Application Form) between 08.03.2018 to12.03.2018 (5.00 PM) to complete/correct such deficiencies in their Application Form as per AIIMS requirement described in the Prospectus.

The final status of Application Form corrected between 08.03.2018 to 12.03.2018 will be uploaded on 20.03.2018 on the website. To avoid rejection, applicants are therefore advised to avail this opportunity to correct deficiencies in their Application Form.

AIIMS has, through this notice, also confirmed the date for checking AIIMS 2018 form status. Candidates can check status from March 20, 2018. The status will show whether form has been provisionally accepted or not.

Provisional acceptance of form means that the institute accepts your candidature on basis of the details you have filled in form. Candidature is subject to your being eligible as determined at the time of counselling.

If, unfortunately, status shows rejected then candidate cannot appear in AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam 2018. However others whose status is accepted / provisionally accepted, can appear for the exam on 26 or 27 May 2018.

Those who have applied and are eligible to appear in exam will get admit card / hall ticket. The admit card to appear in entrance exam will be issued online at mbbs.aiimsexams.org. Candidates can login from May 10, 2018, to get it.

It will be necessary to bring AIIMS 2018 admit card to exam hall on day of exam.

AIIMS MBBS entrance exam is one the three entrance exams for MBBS admissions in India. The other two are NEET and JIPMER. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2018) will be held on May 6, 2018. After that AIIMS 2018 will be held on May 26 and 27, 2018. Then JIPMER 2018 will be held on June 3, 2018. While there is ample time between NEET and AIIMS exams, there is only a week’s time difference between AIIMS and JIPMER. Thus candidates who will appear in AIIMS, as well as JIPMER entrance exams, should keep in mind that they should select exam cities in such a way that they can appear in the exam without hassles.

JIPMER has also released its application form today, on March 7, 2018. Last date for form submission is April 13, 2018.
