Class 10 students across the country who appeared for the Hindi paper of CBSE 2018 board exam on Tuesday, March 6, were happy. Most students found the paper to be similar to the CBSE sample paper released. The Hindi paper was mostly “easy”.

By easy, students and teachers mean that the questions were all from the syllabus. They were such that students sitting for board exams are usually prepared for. So a student with average preparation also gets good chances of scoring high. However, being a language paper, marks are always wanting.

The paper consisted of unseen passage of 15 marks, grammar for 15 marks, literature based questions of 30 marks, and creative writing for 20 marks. So the paper will be marked out of 80. Apart from that, student will get marks out of 10 from periodic test, 5 marks for notebook submission, and 5 marks for subject enrichment activity.

An interesting aspect of the exam was word limit. For the first time the question paper mentioned word limit for some questions. This was good as student could confidently write answers without worrying about what the word limit should be.

The number of questions distributed among application writing, advertisement writing, essay writing, long answers were good. It was not unnecessarily lengthy.

After many years, class 10 students are appearing for full syllabus paper. With this in mind, their passing criteria has been changed. Now class 10 CBSE students need overall 33 percent to pass, as opposed to separate marks criteria.

CBSE 2018 Class 10 Hindi Exam Review

The 2018 CBSE 10th exams flagged off yesterday, but today was the first major paper with a larger number of students. Both Hindi Course A (002) as well as Hindi Course B (085) papers were today. Next, as per the CBSE 10th date sheet 2018, Foundation of IT (165) is on March 8. Then there are three papers namely National Cadet Corps (076), Elem Book Keeping and Accountancy (254), e-Publish and e-Office (354) on March 10. After that there will be English Communicative (101) and English Language and Literature (184) on March 12.

CBSE 10th Result 2018 will be announced either in May or June months. Last year the exams were held from March 9 to April 10 and the result was announced on June 3. This year the exams are being held from March 5 to April 4, so chances are that result could be announced in the last week of May.
