AFCAT 28th August Exam Analysis Here; Check The Difficulty Level of Shift 1, 2, 3

Post exam analysis of today's AFCAT 2 2021 exam indicated that the Numerical Ability section was of the highest difficulty level while Verbal Ability section was of the easiest difficulty level.

The Indian Air Force conducted the day 2 exams of AFCAT 2 2021 today in three shifts. The first shift exam was held from 09.45 to 11.45 AM, the second shift exam was held from 02.45 PM and the third shift for EKT was held from 05.15 PM to 06.00 PM. Student’s reaction after the exam was over indicated that today’s exam was of the moderate level although in both shifts, the easiest section was of the Verbal ability in English. The EKT paper was however of the moderate to difficult level.

As per memory based reports, both shifts of the AFCAT 2 2021 exam held today were of moderate difficulty level in the overall context. The question paper consisted of 100 MCQs of 03 marks each based on the prescribed syllabus. 25 questions were asked from each of the subjects of General Ability and Verbal Ability in English. 18 questions were asked from Numerical Ability and 32 questions were asked from Reasoning & Military Aptitude.

Post-exam students’ reactions indicated that the section on Numerical Ability was of the highest difficulty level among all the sections in shift 1. Overall, the difficulty level of this section was between moderate to tough. The level of dificulty of this section in the shift 2 was moderate.

Questions from the sections of General Awareness and Reasoning & Military Aptitude were also not very easy in the in both shifts of today’s AFCAT 2 2021 exam. These sections were of moderate difficulty level in both shifts as reported by those who took the test today. Candidates however reported that the section on Verbal Ability based questions was of the Easy to Moderate difficulty level in the first shift and comparatively easier in the second shift.

Based on the level of difficulty and as per the feedback received from candidates after the exam, the overall number of good attempts out of 100 Multiple Choice Questions in today’s AFCAT 2 2021 (Shift 1) exam can be envisaged to be in the range of 75 to 80 in both shifts of today’s AFCAT 2 2021 exam. Candidates reported that around 24 to 26 questions could be attempted with confidence in the Reasoning & Military Aptitude section out of 32 total questions in the first shift exam. In the second shift, candidates indicated that they could attempt around 25 out of 32 questions confidently in this section.

Verbal Ability being the easiest of all the sections in today’s AFCAT 2 2021 exam in the morning and afternoon shifts, candidates reported that they could attempt as high as 20 to 22 questions out of 25 questions in this section. Numerical Ability being the toughest section, candidates could only attempt 08 to 10 questions out of 18 in the both shifts of the exam today. Similarly in the General Awareness section, the highest number of good attempts is envisaged to be in the range of 17 to 20 in the first shift and about 18 questions in the second shift.

Based on memory-based reports, in Numerical Ability, the most important topics included Profit & Loss, Time & Distance, Algebra, Simplification, Average, Percentage etc. In General Awareness, questions were asked from History, Geography, Science. Candidates also reported coming across Books & Authors based questions. Analogy, Odd-one out, Series, Syllogism formed the most important topics in Reasoning. In Verbal Ability, Fill in the blanks, Idioms & Phrases, Antonym/Synonym, Error Spotting, Reading Comprehension & Cloze Test were asked.

In EKT, which was held for technical candidates, the question paper consisted of 50 questions. EKT was held for Mechanical, Computer Science and Electrical & Electronics streams. As per reports, the question paper was of moderate to difficult. Based on the level of difficulty, it is envisaged that the number of good attempts in the third shift (EKT) can be in the range of 20-25.
