KCET 2021 Day 1 Concludes; Analysis, Answer Key Here

Karnataka Examination Authority has concluded the KCET 2021 exam for Day 1 on August 28, 2021. The KCET 2021 is scheduled on August 28, 2021, in two shifts i.e. 10.30 to 11.50 AM and 2.30 PM to 3.50 PM. The examination was conducted in around 54 exam centres in 29 districts located in Karnataka. The KCET 2021 Answer Key has been released by leading coaching institutes like DR Academy, Base for both the papers held today. The candidates can use the same to get a rough idea regarding the probable marks scored in the examination. The KEA will announce the date of the publishing of the official KEA Merit List soon on the official website.

According to the participants, amongst both the papers, Biology was only a little moderate side. While the questions asked in the Mathematics paper were moderate to difficult and candidates could easily solve 50-55 questions.

In the Biology paper, all the questions were based on the revised syllabus as per the Karnataka PU exam. The paper has 15 questions from PU I while 45 questions were asked from PU II. The answers to the majority of the questions asked in the Biology paper had options like, “None of the above”, “All of these” and “Both A and B”. The questions were primarily from Bryophytes, Aquatic plants – Zostera, Methods of direct injections, RNA and Contagium vivum fluidum. The experts of the coaching institute also pointed that the paper had a lot of spelling mistakes that caused confusion to the candidates. However, around 50-55 questions were found to be doable in the Bio paper.

The Mathematics paper was moderate to difficult and questions were primarily from Integration, Statistics, Standard deviation, Differential equations, Functions, and Probability. The candidates could only solve 30-35 questions.

The candidates can download the unofficial KCET 2021 Answer Key from the official websites of the coaching institutes. They need to visit the official website of the coaching institutes. On the homepage, candidates need to click on the KCET 2021 answer key for Biology/Mathematics and proceed. The answer key pdf will open on the next tab. After this, candidates need to compare the answers marked in both the answer key and response sheet to know their overall performance.

However, to calculate the marks they need to use the marking scheme, according to which 1 mark is given for each correct response. There is no provision of negative marking hence, after adding all the correct answers, the candidates will get their final marks.
