The Indian Air Force has reportedly released the AFCAT 2 2021 official notification to fill up 334 vacancies this year. The AFCAT exam is usually conducted twice a year for the recruitment of candidates for commissioning as officers in the Flying and Ground Duty branches. The official website of AFCAT is afcat.cdac.in and as per reports, the online registrations for the recruitment examination are scheduled to start on June 01, 2021. The last date to apply for AFCAT 02 2021 recruitment is June 30, 2021.
The IAF has already conducted the AFCAT 01 2021 exam this year and the results have been declared on the official website. The exam is conventionally conducted twice a year in February and August. Now, as per reports, the official notification of the Air Force recruitment exam is out and eligible candidates are invited to apply online at afcat.cdac.in as per schedule starting from June 01, 2021.
As per reports, in order to apply for Flying Branch, candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in Maths and Physics and three year’s degree course by securing at least 60% marks. Those who have a B.E. or B.Tech degree from a recognized University with at least 60% marks are also eligible to apply for Flying Branch. Candidates may note that for recruitment to AFCAT, one must be an unmarried male within the maximum age of 25 years. Applicants must ensure that they fulfil all eligibility criteria before applying for the recruitment.
The AFCAT selection process consists of a written exam followed by Officers Intelligence Rating Test & Picture Perception and Discussion test, Psychological test and final interview. Candidates may note that the question paper consists of 100 MCQ type questions on General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability & Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. It is a 2 hours test of 300 marks and only those who qualify are called to appear in subsequent selection processes.
AFCAT 2 2021 aspirants are advised to read the official notification carefully and apply only through the official website by paying the requisite application fee of Rs 250. NCC Special Entry and Metrology Entry candidates are exempted from the payment of fees.
