Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) has commenced the KIIT Entrance Exam 2021 today i.e. on May 25, 2021. It is the entrance test for admission to all programs in the deemed to be University in Odisha and the exam is being conducted in the online remote proctored mode this year. The slot links to take the test are available on the official website i.e. kiitee.kiit.ac.in. However, due to cyclone Yash affecting Odisha, a special online exam for cyclone-affected areas will be held on June 17, 18 & 19, 2021.
KIIT announced earlier that the KIITEE 2021 will be held in remote proctored mode from May 25 to 27, 2021. Candidates registered for the exam and booked exam slots to appear in the exam. Now, the University has updated the exam slot links on the official website. There are three exam slots and candidates have to appear in an exam slot chosen by them during the slot booking process.
Candidates may note that the exam slot links are activated 30 minutes before the slot time. Candidates have to report 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam time. The first slot exam from 09.00 AM to 11.00 AM is already underway. The next two exam slots are scheduled between 12.00 PM to 02.00 PM and 03.00 PM to 05.00 PM.
After clicking on the link to take the KIITEE 2021 exam in a particular exam slot, candidates are displayed the exam date/timings and a link to log in to take the test. Candidates have to click on this link. A new window opens where candidates have to enter their KIITEE 2021 Application Number, Password and Captcha before clicking on Login to appear in the examination. Candidates are advised to follow all guidelines carefully for taking such a remote proctored test for admission to courses offered by KIIT. It may be noted that the exam is however not held for admission to medical and dental courses.
KIITEE 2021 being held in the remote proctored mode is a 120 minutes examination. The question paper is set in the English language only and the total marks are distributed across various sections depending on the program chosen by the candidate for admission through KIITEE 2021. As per the marking scheme, correct answers in the exam will be awarded +4 marks while for every wrong answer, -1 marks will be deducted.
