Xavier’s Institute of Communications (XIC) recently announced the dates for the XIC Online Entrance Test (OET) 2021 examination. According to the announcement, the entrance exam is scheduled for May 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30, 2021. Subsequently, personal interviews shall be conducted on different dates in two centres – Mumbai and Delhi. The online registration process for the same shall begin on Monday, April 19, 2021. The deadline to register for XIC OET 2021 is May 19, 2021. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the exam on the official website xic.in.
XIC OET 2021 is scheduled on May 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30, 2021. Candidates who qualify for the entrance exam must appear for the personal interviews conducted in two centres. Interviews shall be conducted on June 11, 12 and 13, 2021 at the Mumbai centre. The same shall be held on June 18, 19 and 20, 2021 at the Delhi centre. The registration process for the academic year 2021-22 is scheduled to begin on April 19, 2021, on xic.in.
To apply for the examination, candidates must register on the official website. They must keep a scanned copy of their recent passport-size photograph ready before filling the online application form. During the registration process, candidates have to give their “Statement of Purpose (SOP)”. This statement shall be used during the personal interview round if the candidate qualifies for the test. Hence, candidates are advised to give substantial thought before writing their SOP.
After filling in all the required information, candidates must choose their preferred XIC OET 2021 exam date. Thereafter, they must proceed to pay the application fee. The OET 2021 application fee is Rs.3,500 (including the GST). Candidates can pay the application fee using their Credit Card or Debit Card which is net-banking enabled.
Once the registration formalities are completed, candidates must note down their application number for future reference. XIC OET 2021 admit cards shall be issued to registered candidates on their registered email IDs. Hence, they are advised to enter their personal email ID in their registration form. The XIC OET 2021 admit card must be preserved carefully for future correspondence with XIC.
XIC also permits candidates to register for more than one course. However, aspirants have to separately register for each course which they choose to opt for. Due to this reason, applying for multiple courses is not advisable.
Institute authorities have also specified the eligibility criteria to apply for the XIC OET 2021 examination. According to the criteria, candidates must be 35 years old or below in age. Moreover, they must have completed 3-years of graduation from an Indian university in any approved stream. This stream could be Arts, Commerce, Science, Computers, etc.
If not graduated, candidates must be in the last semester or Third year of graduation in the ongoing academic year. Diploma shall be awarded to such students only after they complete their graduation and provide the attested final graduation marksheet.
