The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the NEET 2022 exam date soon. Initially, the exam was scheduled to take place in the first week of May 2022, but due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases across the country, it is expected that the exam schedule will be pushed to the end of June 2022. NEET UG 2022 Exam Date
Based on previous data, it can be said that NEET UG is held every year on the first Sunday of May. IN 2019, the exam was held on May 5, and in 2018 it was conducted on May 06. However, since the last two years, owing to lock-downs and the ongoing COVID pandemic, the date has been shifted to the second Sunday of September. In 2021, the exam was held on September 12, whereas in 2020, it was conducted on September 13.
Owing to the fact that there has been a significant rise in COVID cases recently and a country-wide concern for the new Omicron variant, the date might be pushed from May this year to a later date. In case, fortunately, the COVID curve flattens and the country is back to normal by March, the agency can conduct the exam on the given date, i.e. the first Sunday of May!
NEET Attempts Limit 2022
The maximum NEET attempt limit for 2022 is unlimited. “There is no cap on the number of attempts,” the former conducting authority stated on its ntaneet.nic.in website. Candidates who have reached the age of 17 are eligible to take the exam. There are no upper age restrictions. Aspirants are permitted to take the NEET 2022 exam an unlimited number of times.
Candidates in this age slab who have passed the 10+2 exam from a recognized board can site for the exam. In addition, the candidate must have passed core subjects in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
The National Testing Agency conducts the NEET Exam for the admission of eligible candidates to undergraduate medical courses in medical institutions. NEET is the largest undergraduate medical admission exam in India. The exam paper will be available in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Odia, Assamese, Telugu, Urdu, and Kannada, among other languages. The paper will include objective questions. There will be a total of 180 questions in the paper. The exam will be of 720 marks.
