The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the NEET 2022 exam date soon. Initially, the exam was scheduled to take place in the first week of May 2022, but due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases across the country, it is expected that the exam schedule will be pushed to the end of June 2022. The exam is conducted in offline mode. Students are recommended to keep an eye on the official website of NEET 2022 at, neet.nta.nic.in for updates and info regarding the NEET UG 2022 exam.

Based on previous data, it can be said that NEET UG is held every year on the first Sunday of May. IN 2019, the exam was held on May 5, and in 2018 it was conducted on May 06. However, since the last two years, owing to lock-downs and the ongoing COVID pandemic, the date has been shifted to the second Sunday of September. In 2021, the exam was held on September 12, whereas in 2020, it was conducted on September 13.

Owing to the fact that there has been a significant rise in COVID cases recently and a country-wide concern for the new Omicron variant, the date might be pushed from May this year to a later date. In case, fortunately, the COVID curve flattens and the country is back to normal by March, the agency can conduct the exam on the given date, i.e. the first Sunday of May!
