Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has released two separate notifications to fill a total of 1281 vacancies pertaining to Graduate or Technician Apprentices as well as Trade Apprentices, offering them a one-year training programme. Interested candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can fill and submit the application form on the official website westerncoal.in. WCL will be accepting applications only through the online mode and not via any offline sources. This makes it simpler for candidates to complete the online formalities between September 06 and 21, 2021.
To apply for the exam, candidates should possess a valid Savings account in any bank with the same personal details as mentioned in the education and domicile documents. While the eligibility criteria for the recruitment drive is fairly flexible, candidates who have already or are currently pursuing apprenticeship training are not eligible.
Certain other qualification prerequisites are also required to apply for the WCL 2021 recruitment process. Accordingly, for Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Apprentice, the ITI must be involved in the relevant trade. In the case of Graduate Apprentice, the qualification involves a full-time degree course in minding engineering from a government-recognised institute. Finally, for Technician Apprentice, required qualification involves a full-time diploma in Mining or Mining & Mine Surveying from a government-approved institute.
The official notifications also specify the elaborate and detailed WCL 2021 selection process. In this process, candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in qualifying exam. In case two candidates have scored the same percentage, seniority in terms of date of birth will be taken into consideration.
The shortlisted and eligible candidates will then have to undergo the document verification process to justify their claims about details such as name, date of birth, education, category, etc. This verification process is crucial because it will decide the final selection of candidates.
Once the WCL Recruitment 2021 document verification process along with the procurement of medical fitness certificate is completed, candidates will finally be recruited for the apprenticeship programme. These candidates will also receive an apprentice engagement letter to confirm their selection.
Lastly, authorities have also provided stipend details for every apprenticeship under WCL recruitment 2021. Accordingly, for one-year ITI training, candidates will receive a stipend of Rs.7,700 per month. Similarly, the stipend of Rs.8,050 will be paid to those completing two years of ITI training. Graduate Apprentices will receive Rs.9,000 per month while Technician Apprentices will get Rs.8,000 every month. However, to participate in this recruitment drive, candidates must submit their application form latest by September 21, 2021.
