West Bengal Police has notified the written exam date for the post of Sub Inspector/Lady Sub Inspector via a notice. As per a notice released on the official website of the police board, wbpolice.gov.in, the examination is scheduled to be held on December 05, 2021, from 12 pm to 1.30 pm.
WBP SI Exam Date 2021 Announced
With this notice, the board has also announced that the admit card for WBP SI 2021 will be available from November 26, 2021. Candidates willing to download their admit card have to enter their application serial number followed by the date of birth. The examination is going to be held in a single shift for all the aspirants across different test centres located in the state.

The board has assured that it shall activate the SMS alert facility for candidates once the admit card is live on the website. However, it is not going to take any responsibility for candidates who do not receive their WBP SI 2021 admit card. Hence, candidates are advised to keep a tab on the official website for all the latest updates regarding the admit card release.
Along with the basic information regarding the exam date, admit card release date, the board has also mentioned a set of instructions in the notice that can be found in the space below:
- Canddiates are not allowed to wear any shoes that cover their feet rather they must come to the exam hall wearing flats or slippers. Those who fail to abide by this rule will not be allowed to take up the test
- Any electronic gadget like bluetooth, mobile phone, scanning devices, wrist watch, calculator etc is not allowed in the exam hall
- Candidates have to carry their neatly printed WB SI admit card with a valid id proof
West Bengal Sub Inspector (SI) written examination is going to be held in the offline mode. There shall be a total of 100 questions from General Studies, Logical & analytical reasoning and Arithmetic accounting for 200 marks. Candidates will get 90 minutes to complete the test and the language of the paper will be bilingual i.e. English and Bengali. For each correct answer, candidates will get 2 marks and a deduction of 1/4th of the total marks for wrong answers. Those who successfully qualify for the written exam will be called to appear in the Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Measurement Test followed by a final combined exam.
