The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2022 exam was held across the state, on April 30, 2022. Result for this state-level entrance exam is likely to come out this week, preferably by Wednesday, June 08, 2022. This however, is merely a speculation which has neither been confirmed nor rejected by the board. Amid this uncertainty, on thing is certain – results will be announced through the online mode, on the official website wbjeeb.nic.in. No candidate will be given the scorecard through offline or in-person mode.
Only recently, another speculation was making the rounds online, specifically through news reports by popular portals like NDTV and Times Now. As per this speculation, WBJEE 2022 result was all set to come out on Sunday, June 05, 2022. While students were waiting for activation of result link, the state examination board did not publish any result.

Interestingly, the June 05, 2022 result date was speculated by local news reports as well. However, it turned out to be false trail.
WBJEE 2022 result expected this week
Although the WBJEE 2022 resultwas not released yesterday, one cannot deny the possibility of rank cards releasing this week. In fact, this speculation only increases the chances. Here’s what a recent report by Times Now states –
As per local media reports, WBJEEB was expected to declare these results by June 5, 2022. However, with no update on the official website, the result is now expected soon and in this week itself.
Usually, WBJEE result is announced within 15-30 days of exam conduction. So, this year’s result announcement is already way past previous-year trends. This again, raises the possibility of rank cards releasing soon.
Two types of rank – GMR and PMR
While announcing the WBJEE 2022 result, the board will be announcing two types of ranks – General Merit Rank (GMR) and Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR).
Details about GMR
This rank will be curated on the basis of marks obtained in both Paper I and Paper II. Ranking will be done in the descending order of marks obtained in WBJEE 2022 exam. This rank will help candidates seek admission for Engineering, Technology and Architecture courses. However, for reserved students, separate category-based ranks will also be indicated.
Details about PMR
The Pharmacy Merit Rank will be determined based on marks obtained ONLY in Paper II (Physics and Chemistry). Again, ranks will be assigned in the descending order of marks obtained in the entrance exam. PMR will help candidates seek admission for Pharmacy-based courses (except Jadhavpur University).
