The Public Service Commission, West Bengal has released the WBCS Mains 2020 Admit Card on its official website, wbpsc.gov.in. As per the official notice released, the Mains exam will now be held on August 27, August 28, August 29, and August 31, 2021, across different centres of Kolkata. The candidates can download their admit cards by logging in with their credentials. The preliminary exam of the WBCS has already been conducted in 2019 itself. The candidates successful in the Mains exam of WB civil services will be called to appear in the Interview round.

Step 1: Visit the official website of PSC, West Bengal, wbpsc.gov.in
Step 2: Next, on the candidate’s corner find the link of Download Admit Card for written exam
Step 3: Thereafter, on the login page enter the Enrolment number and Date of Birth or First name along with the date of birth and click the search button.
Step 4: The WBCS Mains 2020 Admit Card will be displayed on the next page, cross-check the details available on the same and save a copy for future reference.
The WBCS Mains 2020 Admit Card has a lot of details i.e. Candidate’s name, date and reporting time of the exam, duration of the exam, test centre address, candidate’s photograph and signature and instructions for the exam day. The candidates must cross-verify the details and contact authorities on pscwbit01@gmail.com for rectification of details.
The WBCS Mains exam has a total of 8 papers out of which 2 are optional and the remaining 6 are compulsory. For completing each paper, candidates will get 3 hours and the maximum marks allotted to each paper is 200 marks. The commission has not specified the exact exam pattern however there will be an objective and descriptive type of questions. The major papers in the Mains exam are Bengali/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Nepali/ Santali, General Studies 1, General Studies 2, English, The Constitution of India and Indian Economy including role and functions of the Reserve Bank of India, Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning, Optional Paper 1 and Optional Paper 2.
The candidates successful in the Mains exam will stand a chance to appear in the Personality test or Interview. The interview round will be held for a total of 200 marks if the candidate chooses Group A and B. While the maximum marks for the Interview round are 150 marks and 100 marks for Group C and Group D respectively.
