West Bengal Public Service Commission has released the official notification for the West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) exam 2021. WBCS 2021 notification is available at the website of the Commission wbpsc.gov.in. The Commission has announced that the Prelims exam is to be held at various centres of the State tentatively in March/April 2021. Those who qualify in the Prelims have to appear in the Main exam and subsequently, the final selection is to be done through Personality Test. The online application process is commencing on December 24, 2020, at the aforementioned website. Eligible candidates can apply and pay fees online till January 15, 2021. Offline fee payment can be done till January 16, 202 1 although the bank challan must be generated before the closing date of applications.
The total vacancy count is to be intimated in due course of time. However, the examination is conducted to fill up post in Group A, B, C, and D under various departments of the state government. WBPSC WBCS 2021 Official Notification
In order to apply, candidates need to have a degree from a recognized University. In addition, it is mandatory for all candidates to be able to read, write and speak in Bengali (except for those whose mother tongue is Nepali). Applicants must be at least 21 years of age in order to apply. Furthermore, the maximum permissible age of the applicants is 36 years as on January 1st of the year of examination. Aspiring candidates are advised to go through the advertisement and ensure that they fulfil all the specified requirements before applying for the recruitment.
The selection method of WBSC 2021 includes two stages of written examination and a final Personality test. The written examination is to be conducted for the Preliminary stage at first. Qualifiers of the Prelims are to be called to attend the Main stage exam. Details of the Prelims, including the exact date and timing are to be intimated later through the official website.
The Prelims are to be conducted in centres located across 26 districts of the state. However, only ST candidates of Darjeeling and other three hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling Sadar, Mirik and Kurseong are allowed to appear at Darjeeling Centre. Similarly, candidates from the Kalimpong district will be allowed to appear in the Kalimpong centre. Aspiring candidates have to apply online at the official website of WB Public Service Commission only. A fee of Rs 210 (plus service charges and other charges as applicable) must be paid by the applicants in order to apply. SC/ST and PWD candidates are only exempted from the payment of any fee.
