Rajasthan Public Service Commission has published a latest recruitment notification for 918 vacancies of Assistant Professor available under the College Education Department. The Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up the vacancies. Eligible and intending candidates can check out the detailed advertisement and apply online at the Commissions’ official website i.e. rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in . Candidates who applied against Advertisement No. 04/2020-21 dated 02.11.2020 are not required to apply again. Aspirants can apply online till December 30, 2020.
The vacancies are available in different subjects including Botany, Chemistry, Maths, Physics, Zoology, ABST, Business Administration etc. Detailed vacancy bifurcation and other post reservation information can be checked from the official notification available at the website. Selected candidates are to be appointed at the pay band of Rs 15600-39100 (AGP 6000). However, one must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as specified by RPSC in the notification.
Candidates within the age range of 21 to 40 years are eligible to apply for this recruitment. However, relaxations on the upper age limit are applicable as per government norms in vogue and as indicated in the detailed advertisement. In addition, one must also fulfil the minimum educational qualifications indicated for the recruitment.
Candidates having a Master’s degree in relevant subject with at least 55% marks and a good academic record in order to apply. In addition, one must also have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) or SLET/SET conducted by UGC/CSIR. Candidates who holds a Ph.D qualification are however exempted from clearing NET/SLET/SET examination. Furthermore, candidates who have a Master’s degree in subjects on which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted, are also exempted from the condition of clearing these examination. Aspirants are advised to read the detailed notification carefully for the complete eligibility condition before applying.
Selection of the eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of written exam and final interview. The details of the written exam namely the schedule and venue of the exam are to be intimated in due course of time through the official website. As per the notification, the question paper will consist of objective type questions only while the examination may be conducted online or offline. The paper is to be divided into three parts namely Paper I, II and III where the first two papers are to be based on the subject concerned with the post. Paper-III is to be based on the General Studies of Rajasthan. There will be sectional timing for each paper i.e. 03 hours, 03 hours and 02 hours respectively for a total marks of 200 including all the three papers.
Eligible candidates can apply online at the official website as per schedule by registering first and then submitting the online application form. For Unreserved candidates, the application fee is Rs 350. Candidates belonging to OBC/EBC (NCL) category have to pay Rs 250 while those who belong to PwD, SC/ST and whose annual family income is less than Rs 2.5 lac have to pay a fee of Rs 150.
