Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education has published the official notification for the UTET 2021 exam. Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test is held by the UBSE for determining eligibility of qualified candidates for recruitment as a teacher of Class 1 to 8, in the state of Uttarakhand. Interested candidates can download the notification from the direct link provided here. The last date to apply online for UTET 2021 is February 18, 2021. The last date of submission of application fee is February 20, 2021. UBSE is yet to announce the exam date of UTET 2021. UBSE conducts the UTET exam once a year for two papers. Candidates who intend to become a teacher of Class I to 5 must take the test for Paper 1 and qualify in it. On the other hand, those who intend to become a teacher of Class 6 to 8 must take the test for Paper 2 and qualify in it. As per the official notification, the examination is held for a duration of 2.5 hours for each paper.

Candidates intending to apply for UTET 2021 must read the notification carefully and fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria specified by the Board. For appearing in Paper 1, 12th pass candidates (at least 50% marks) holding a relevant degree/diploma in Education are eligible to apply. Graduate candidates with B.Ed are also eligible to apply for the Paper 1 exam. Similarly, for appearing in the Paper 2, candidates can apply if they have passed Class 12/Graduation with at least 50% marks and have a relevant degree/diploma in Education, as laid down by the UBSE.
UTET application form is released online at the website ubse.uk.gov.in. Interested candidates are advised not to wait till the last date and submit their applications before the last date. In order to apply, candidates have to register at the website at first and generate the login ID and password. Subsequently, candidates can use these credentials to login to the website to fill up the application form and download admit card before the exam.
UBSE has specified an application fee for the UTET 2021 exam. The fee must be paid by applicants online at the website using internet banking or debit/credit card. General/OBC candidates who intend to apply for one paper of UTET have to pay a fee of Rs 600. The fee for two papers is Rs 1000 for General/OBC candidates. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and PWD categories have to pay a fee of Rs 300 for one paper and Rs 500 for both papers of UTET.
UTET question paper consist of 150 MCQ type questions carrying one mark each. The question paper is set bilingually in the English & Hindi language. The question paper is based on the topics of Child Development & Pedagogy, Language, Mathematics and Environmental Science in Paper 1. Paper 2 is based on Child Development & Pedagogy, Language, Mathematics/Social Science. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for the complete details of the examination.
