Both the papers of the exam are conducted on the same day in centres across the state. With less than 10 days left before the exam is conducted, it is about time that aspiring candidates brush up their preparations for the exam and get ready to do their best on the exam day. Topics like Child Development & Pedagogy are extremely important for such TET exam and during the last few days, candidates are expected to indulge in extensive revision of what they have already studied.
Last Minute Preparation Tips for UTET 2021
The UTET Part I question paper is based on the subjects of Child Development & Pedagogy, two Language papers, Mathematics and Environmental Awareness. In Part II, besides the common subjects of Child Development & Pedagogy and two Language papers, candidates also have to answer a section based on either Mathematics & Science or Social Science as per their preference. Cracking these papers is subject to how much prepared and knowledgeable a candidate is.
When it comes to answering the Child Development & Pedagogy paper, candidates need conceptual understanding of important topics. This is one of the high scoring areas as questions are often repeated from previous year papers and the section carries 30 marks in total. Besides clearing out any confusion, candidates can benefit from referring to the questions from this section that were asked in the last five or six years of the exam.
Previous year papers can help candidates in gearing up for the other sections of the paper as well. Particularly in Mathematics & Science papers, candidates must be able to recall important formula, equations, relations etc at the exam hall for better time management. During these last few days, candidates are advised to revise such formula, equations, relations. Practicing mental mathematics is equally important for fast calculation work during the exam. In addition, one must also be fluent with theoretical understanding of scientific concepts.
Candidates are also advised to solve UTET mock tests during the last few days. This will not only help a candidate to rehearse for the exam in advance, but also provides the opportunity to devise strategies for time management, prioritizing which sections to attempt at first. In Paper II of UTET, the section on Mathematics/Science or Social Science carries 60 marks. Thus, candidates must be well prepared to solve as many questions as they can from this section.
