Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) is going to release the UPTET 2021 final answer key and result in next month i.e. March 2022. The board was expected to be released the result and final answer key on February 23, 2022. However, the same was delayed citing the ongoing assembly elections in the state. It is now speculated that now the final answer key and result of UPTET 2021 shall be released probably after March 10, 2022, when the state assembly elections conclude.
UPTET 2021 Result Delayed
Reports from several media including Aajtak suggested that citing the ongoing assembly elections in the state, Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi, Secretary Examination Regulatory Authority has proposed postponement of the result and answer key. This was primarily because currently, the election commission has imposed a model code of conduct in the state.
Yesterday, it was further reported that UPBEB has requested the board to provide permission to release the result. However, quoting the model code of conduct the state government did not permit the board. With this, it is now clear that the result and answer key of UPTET 2021 shall be released after the elections have concluded.
As of now, speculations are high that the final answer key can be released by February end. However, this is also speculation and the candidates are advised to keep a tab on the official website of the board, updeled.gov.in. Earlier, the board has released the provisional answer key and candidates have raised objections against the same. Around 98 objections have been put forth until now against the UPTET 2021 tentative answer key.
Reasons for the delay – What is the model code of conduct?
Model code of conduct is the administrative machinery enforced by the Election Commission of India during elections. It includes a set of guidelines that restraints the use of public funds by political parties in power, opposition, and contesting parties. In addition, it prohibits the state government from carrying forward any recruitment process and/or pending inducement to government positions. Until the elections are over and the final result is declared the board cannot declare the result or any update regarding the UPTET 2021 exam.
This year around 21 lakhs have participated in the UPTET examination at the primary and upper primary examinations. Candidates who clear the primary level exam shall be appointed as primary teachers whereas the one who clears the level 2 i.e. upper primary will get an appointment as teacher in the upper primary level.
