State level teacher eligibility test UPTET 2018 is going to be conducted on October 28, 2018. This exam date has been widely reported by popular media outlets today. Furthermore, date of availability of online application, admit card, result are also out.
Future teachers can apply online through Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board website from September 17, 2018. Before applying, candidates should check that they fulfill Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2018 eligibility criteria. Largely eligibility conditions encompass requirement of 50% marks in senior secondary, followed by appropriate degree or diploma. It is expected that requirement for paper 1, for primary teacher will be 2 year D.El.Ed or 4 year B.El.Ed or 2 year D.Ed or graduation, and for upper primary teacher it will be 2 year D.El.Ed or B.Ed or 4 year B.El.Ed or 4 year BA / B.Sc / Ed or BA Ed / B.Sc Ed or B.Ed Special Education.
Furthermore it is notified that last date to apply will be October 3, 2018. Candidates can submit application fee until October 4, 2018. It is expected that fee amount shall be Rs 400 for general, OBC candidates. Whereas it will be Rs 200 for SC and ST candidates. Those who belong to PH category are exempt from fee. Those who apply and submit online form can print it until October 5, 2018. It is important to keep printout of online form for future reference as well as requirement at various stages.
Candidates who apply will then be able to download admit card for exam, before it. Reports state that admit card of UPTET will be available for download from October 17, 2018. Candidates will have to use those login credentials which were generated at time of registration.
After exam is conducted on October 28, 2018, exam conducting body will issue answer key on October 29, 2018. There will be separate answer keys for paper 1 and paper 2. There being sets of papers, separate keys will be available for each. Candidates can check correct answers from them. This is a good endeavor on part of organizers to hold a transparent and fair competitive exam.
Result of UPTET 2018 will be announced on November 20, 2018. The state reportedly wishes to complete the requirement of teachers in Uttar Pradesh by December 31, 2018. Therefore this has been decided to be timeline for Teacher Eligibility Test.
