Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has postponed Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) 2020. The exam was due to be held on May 10, 2020. However, looking at the corona virus widespread in the country, it has been postponed. Due to this, all the dates for future events of UPSEE 2020 stand cancelled. Revised dates will be announced soon.
The news for postponing the exam has been made online, on upsee.nic.in. AKTU uploaded an official notice for it, in which it stated, “General public are being notified that the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) 2020 which was supposed to be held on May 10, 2020, has been postponed. Soon the new schedule of the exam will be announced.”

Apart from this, AKTU has also extended the last date to correct detailed in the application form. Earlier, the correction was ending on April 09, 2020. However, now the candidates can edit details until April 14, 2020.
To do form correction candidates have to visit the official site, upsee.nic.in. On the home page, access the link for form correction of the respective course. Next, on the login screen candidates have to enter application number and password. Thus, candidates can access the UPSEE 2020 form correction facility.
Using this facility candidates can correct any incorrect details or image in the application form.
As an aftermath of postponing the exam, the admit card for UPSEE 2020 has also been delayed. Now on the website, section for admit card dates says, “To be decided soon”.
UPSEE is held annually, at state level, for admission in 1st year B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Des, B.Pharm, BHMCT, BFAD, BFA, B.Voc, MBA, MBA (Integrated), MCA, MCA (Integrated), M.Tech (Integrated), M.Tech, M.Arch, MURP, M.Pharm, and M.Des courses. Admission in 2nd year of B.Tech, B.Pharm, and MCA courses is also done based on UPSEE.
There are around 21 government and 735 private colleges that are affiliated to AKTU and where admission is based on UPSEEE scores.
UPSEE is held in most cities of Uttar Pradesh in offline mode. However, the test centers are also set up outside the state of UP too. There re 8 paper under UPSEE 2020 and candidates can appear for any one of it.
Based on UPSEE 2020 scores 85% of total seats available in private Institutions will be filled. Rest 15% is for the Management quota/NRI candidates. In Government / Government Aided / Govt. Self Financed Institutes, all seats that is 100% seats will be filled based on UPSEE scores.
Another UP state exam that have been postponed due to COVID-19 is UP B.Ed JEE 2020 entrance exam. The exam has been postponed to April 22, 2020. Other than this, national level papers like JEE Main, SRMJEEE, NATA, etc. have also been postponed.
