The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be conducting the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2022 on April 10, 2022. Candidates who have registered for the exam will be issued e-admit cards which can be downloaded from the official website – upsc.gov.in. So far, the Commission has not provided any official date on which the admit cards will be issued. This makes it necessary to take a look at the previous years’ trends for predicting a tentative date.
As per the official notification, the e-admit cards for NDA 1 2022 will be issued three weeks prior to the commencement of the examination. So, if the examination will take place on April 10, 2022, then the admit cards should be released on March 20, 2022. And going by past year trends, wherein admit cards have been released 23-27 days before the exam date, the admit card for NDA 2022 may even be out between March 14 to 18, 2022.
Past Year Trends
A quick glance at the previous years’ trends shows that the admit cards are released more or less three weeks before the conduct of the written exam. The maximum number of days taken for the purpose is 27 while the minimum days is 23. Candidates should refer to the table below to have a better idea.
Year | Exam Date | Admit Card Release Date | Difference |
2021 | April 18, 2021 | March 26, 2021 | 23 days |
2020 | September 06, 2020 | August 10, 2020 | 27 days |
2019 | April 21, 2019 | March 29, 2019 | 23 days |
2018 | April 22, 2018 | March 27, 2018 | 26 days |
2017 | April 23, 2017 | March 30, 2017 | 24 days |
Taking cues from the previous years’ trends, it can be said that the NDA 1 2022 admit cards will be released by March 18, 2022. However, this date can only be deemed tentative since it is prior to three weeks before the examination date. The bottom line is that there are high chances for the admit cards to be released between either the third or fourth week of March, 2022.
As and when the admit cards are released, candidates will be required to download the same from upsconline.nic.in. It must be noted that no admit cards will be sent via post or any other means. In case there is an error in the admit cards, then the candidate should bring it to the light of the commission immediately. This year, a total of 400 vacancies are going to be filled via this competitive recruitment examination.
