Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Thursday has released the admit cards for UPSC Engineering Services Exam (ESE) Prelims Exam 2021. Candidates can download the UPSC ESE admit card 2021 from the official website, upsc.gov.in. The call letters will be available from June 24, 2021, to July 18, 2021 till 04:00 PM.
As per the notification, the UPSC ESE 2021 Exam will take place on July 18, 2021. It will be conducted in two shifts. The morning session will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM for General Studies and Engineering Aptitude Exam. For Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, the exam will be conducted in the second session from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM.
Aspirants appearing for the preliminary exam can download the UPSC ESE call letter from upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in. They get two options to access the UPSC login. Candidates can either download the UPSC IES admit card through registration id or they can log in using the roll number. On successful login, the Engineering Services admit card shall display on the screen.
Moreover, candidates are advised to produce a hard copy of the e-admit card at the exam centre. Along with that, they also have to carry a photo ID card (as that submitted during registration) such as Aadhaar Card/Voter Card/Driving Licence/PAN Card/ Passport/Any other Photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government.
In case, the photograph is unclear on the printout, it is advised to carry two identical photographs and undertaking. If there is any discrepancy in the e-admit card, immediately contact the commission at usengg-upsc@nic.in on or before July 11, 2021.
UPSC has also released a notice discussing some general exam day instructions. It mentions that the examination venue shall close 10 minutes prior to the scheduled commencement of the exam i.e at 09:50 AM for the morning session and 01:50 PM for the afternoon session. Thereafter, no candidate will be allowed to enter the venue. Also, carry a black ballpoint pen to the exam hall. Other than that, wear a face mask, bring a small hand sanitiser bottle and maintain social distancing as well as personal hygiene.
The recruitment for UPSC IES 2021 is based on three rounds. Candidates who clear the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for the Stage 2/ Mains exam. The qualifying candidates have to appear for the UPSC ESE Mains 2021 on October 10, 2021. Candidates who qualify for the mains exam will be eligible to appear for stage 3/interview. The personality test is conducted for 200 marks.
