The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release official notification of Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2022 today, on February 2, 2022, at upsc.gov.in. The commission shall publish the notification as a pdf file, which all can download from the said website, from today onwards. The notification shall contain complete details of CSE 2022, or as it is also referred to simply as UPSC 2022, or UPSC Prelims 2022, or IAS 2022 exam.
Post the release of UPSC CSE notification 2022, candidates can apply online at upsc.gov.in for the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and Indian Foreign Services (IFS) exams. The last date to apply is February 22, 2022. The Prelims exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 5, 2022.

Who all can apply For UPSC IAS Prelims exam, 2022?
- Nationality: Only Indian citizens can apply
- Age limit: All candidates should be atleast 21 years of age and maximum 32 years for candidates of unreserved category. For candidates belonging to SC/ST the maximum age limit is 37 years and for OBC candidates the age limit is 35 years. For PwD candidates, the maximum age limit is 42 years.
- Educational qualification: Candidates should possess a valid degree from a government recognised university.
- Number of attempts: General category (6); OBC (9); SC/ ST candidates and PwD (Unlimited attempts)
Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. Female candidates, SC/ ST candidates and Persons with Disabilities are exempted from paying the fees. During the time of applying candidates can select their exam city preferences. The admit card will be available in the official website three weeks prior to the exam date.
How to apply for UPSC IAS Exam, 2022?
Step 1: Visit the official website upsc.gov.in.
Step 2: Scroll down and click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab.
Step 3: Now click on ‘Online Application for Various Examinations’ link.
Step 4: Choose the examination to apply for and click on the ‘Part 1 Registration’ link corresponding to it.
Step 5:Now, a set of instructions will appear on the screen. Scroll down and click on ‘Yes’.
Step 6: Enter personal details, education qualifications and address. Click on ‘Continue’.
Step 7: If the candidate belongs to a reserved category, select ‘Yes’ against the ‘Claiming age relaxation’ bar and select the category. Otherwise, click No. And select the ‘Continue’. button.
Step 8: Now, candidates should proceed to the payment process.
Step 9: Candidates will be able to preview the details they have entered. Check the details and click on ‘Update’. Enter captcha and click on ‘I agree’.
Step 10: Candidates can print their Part 1 Registration form or continue to Part 2 Registration.
Step 11: Now, login with Registration ID and Date of Birth.
Step 12: Next, candidates have to upload a scanned copy of their passport size photograph, signature and Photo ID proof. Enter the remaining details and click on ‘Continue’.
Step 13: Select the exam city preferences. Read the declaration and click on ‘I agree’.
Step 14: Now, the application process is complete. Candidates can print this form.
