Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the admit cards for the UPSC Combined Defense Services (CDS) II 2021 examination. Candidates who have registered for the recruitment exam can download their admit cards from the official website upsc.gov.in. The exam is all set to be conducted on a nationwide level on November 14, 2021. All candidates are advised to download their admit cards as soon as possible, rather than waiting for the last moment. UPSC CDS (II) 2021 Admit Card Download
The commission has issued admit cards only to those eligible candidates who have successfully submitted their online application form. Such students can download their UPSC CDS (II) 2021 admit cards using the following steps –
Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC i.e., upsc.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage of the website, access the drop-down menu of the ‘Examinations’ section and click on the ‘Active Examinations’ option.
Step 3: A list of active examination links will be displayed on the screen. Search and click on the link attached to the words “Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2021”.
Step 4: On the new page that appears, scroll down and select the “click here” option next to “e-Admit card”.
Step 5: On the new tab which opens, select the “Click here” option below the “To Download e-Admit Card” section.
Step 6: Go through all the admit card and exam-related instructions displayed on the screen. They have been given in English as well as Hindi. Take a printout of the instructions for future reference by clicking on the “Print” option.
Step 7: After taking a printout, select the ‘yes’ option to proceed further.
Step 8: Select the route to access the admit card – either through Registration ID or Roll Number.
Step 9: Enter the required credentials including date of birth and submit them to access the admit card.
Step 10: Take a printout of the document for future use.
UPSC CDS (II) 2021: Last-minute preparation tips
With merely 3 weeks left for the UPSC CDS (II) 2021 examination, here are some last-minute tips to follow to ace the exam –
Tip 1: Read a National English newspaper every day in the morning for vocabulary improvement. Suggested newspapers include The HIndu, Indian Express, The Economic Times, etc. Reading one newspaper daily is sufficient.
Tip 2: For grammar practice, rather than just mugging up the concepts, try to practice 10 or 20-minute tests every day. These are easily available online, free of cost.
Tip 3: In the case of General Knowledge, watch UPSC-specific YouTube videos that discuss all the current affairs relevant to the recruitment exam. One can also refer to monthly compilations released by coaching institutes online. Even reading a newspaper daily can help understand what is currently going on in the country.
Tip 4: For Mathematics, the best way to revise is by listing down the important formulae and revising them. The key to revising them is by recollecting how they were derived or how they are used.
