Union Public Service Commission has announced the APFC 2021 Cut Off marks for the recruitment test held on January 10, 2016. The Commission advertised 170 vacancies for the post of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner in the Employee Provident Fund Organisation back in the year 2015. Now, UPSC has released the cut-offs and other important statistics regarding the exam on the official website upsc.gov.in.
Selection of the eligible applicants for recruitment to fill up the 170 posts of APFC was done on the basis of written tests and interviews. Now, UPSC has released important statistics of the exam including the cut-offs. A total of 163316 candidates appeared for the UPSC APFC exam back in 2016. To fill up the vacant positions, the Commission has now shortlisted a total of 170 candidates on the basis of merit in the examination and the final interview was taken together.
The APFC written exam carried a total of 100 marks and the final interview also carried 100 marks in total. The weightage of the written marks and the final interview in the final result is 75:25. UPSC has compiled the final marks on the basis of the following formula.
3 X Actual Marks in Written + 1 X Marks in Interview
In the UR category, the cut-off marks for final selection have been determined to be 268.37. For the OBC category, the cut-offs for the final selection has been determined to be 249.86. For the SC & ST categories respectively, the cut-offs for final selection has been determined to be 234.74 and 229.30 respectively.
Besides the cut-off marks for the final selection (which include the marks of the written and the interview compiled as per the aforementioned formula), UPSC has also indicated the selection stage-wise cut-off marks for each category. In the Recruitment Test/Written Exam, the cut-offs for the UR category has been determined to be 66.5. The same for the OBC category has been determined to be 60.5 while for SC and ST categories, the cut-offs for the Recruitment Test has been determined to be 56.5 and 54.5 respectively.
In the interview stage, for the UR category, the Commission has determined a cut-off of 50 marks whole the same for the OBC category has been determined to be 45 marks. For SC and ST categories, the cut-offs for the interview stage has been determined to be 40 marks each.
In the UR category, the highest mark obtained by any candidate is 297.33. For the OBC category, the same is 273.25. For the SC and ST categories, the highest total marks obtained by any candidate are 260.81 and 249.25 respectively.
