Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has published the answer key of PCS prelims examination 2019. The answer key has released for general studies paper 1 and general studies paper 2, for all sets A, B, C, D. All the answer keys are available for download at the official website, uppsc.up.nic.in.
The commission has also provided the facility to challenge answer key of UPPSC PCS 2019. Candidate can challenge answers of both papers separately. In order to submit objections, one has send email at [email protected] in the format given on the website, by December 22, 2019.
How to check UPPSC PCS Answer Key 2019?
To check UPPSC PCS answer key 2019, visit the the official website, uppsc.up.nic.in. Now on the left side of the homepage, click on the link “Click Here to view Answer Sheet”. The answer key will appear on the screen in the pdf format for both papers. Now, download the answer key pdf and cross-check answers.
UPPSC Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) exam was conducted in offline mode i.e. it was a pen-paper test. The preliminary exam was held on December 15, 2019. The exam lasted for 2 hours. The question paper was in both Hindi and English. There is negative marking in the paper, thus for every incorrect answer, 1/3rd marks will be deducted from the total marks.
The preliminary exam was divided into two papers, paper I and paper II. The preliminary exam paper-II was qualifying in nature with minimum qualification marks set at 33%.
As per the UPPSC PCS notification 2019, ” the minimum efficiency standard for SC and ST candidates is fixed 35% i.e. the candidates of these categories shall not be placed in the merit/select list if they have secured less than 35% marks in the preliminary / main examination. Similarly, the minimum efficiency standard for the candidates of other categories is fixed 40% i.e. such candidates shall not be placed in the merit/select list if they have secured less than 40% marks in the preliminary / main examination. All such candidates who have secured less marks than the marks of minimum efficiency standard as fixed by the Commission shall be treated disqualified.”
Based on the result of the preliminary exam, thirteen times the number of vacancies candidates will be considered eligible for the main examination and two times the number of vacancies will be called for the interview.
After the preliminary examination, the candidate has to fill the application for the main examination. The main exam is a written examination of 3 hours. The written examination will consist of 6 mandatory papers and 2 optional papers. The applicants were chosen for the physical test in a ratio of 2 times the total number of vacancies.
UPPSC PCS recruitment is done for the post of Assistant Conservator of Forest (A.C.F.) / Range Forest Officer (R.F.O.) Services Examination – 2019. There are total 364 vacancies in UPPSC Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) recruitment 2019.
The pay scale of Assistant conservator of Forest is Rs.15600/- to Rs.39100/- and grade pay is Rs.5400/-(Level 10 in the pay matrix Group) Group “B”, Gazetted and for post of Range Forest Officer of Forest is Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/- and grade pay Rs.4800/- (Level 8 pay matrix 47600 – 151100) Group “B”, Gazetted.
