Coal India Limited recruitment 2020 is the talk of the town for all government job aspirants since yesterday. The organization has published the detailed notification for CIL recruitment of management trainees, vide advertisement no 01/2019, to fill 1326 vacancies. CIL will conduct an all india level test to shortlist candidates. 

As of now, the detailed notification explains the exam pattern of the exam that will be held for all the candidates who apply for this recruitment.

The exam will be a computer based test. 

It will be a single exam with two papers, I and II, to be completed in a single sitting of 3 hours. Paper I will consist of general knowledge and awareness, reasoning, numerical ability, general english. Whereas paper II will have questions on professional knowledge, related to the subject 

Each of the two papers will have 100 multiple choice questions. Each question will be of 1 mark. There will not be any negative marking in any of the questions. Questions will be in English as well as Hindi. However wherever there will be any error in the questions in hindi version, english version will be considered final. 

In order to qualify the test, general and EWS candidates need to get at least 40 marks in each of the papers. OBC need to fetch 35 marks at least. And SC, ST, PWD candidates should get 30 marks minimum in each paper. 

On the basis of the performance of candidates in the exam, they will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:3 against the vacancies in each category. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Interview will be of 10 marks. 

Other than providing the exam pattern, syllabus particulars have not been published by CIL. However usually, for MT recruitment, the organization does release details syllabus before the exam. 

Syllabus documents uploaded more than 2 years ago, for the 2017 recruitment can be found on the web. While candidates may refer to the same for a broad reference, it is more ideally suitable, suggests academia, to stick to the topics taught at graduation level in those subjects for paper 2 of the CIL recruitment 2020. For paper 1, the topics are common with other government job exams of the same and hence can be studied in parallel to other similar level exams. 

For the Coal India Limited recruitment 2020, application form will be available at coalindia.in from December 2, 2019, and will remain available until January 19, 2020. The exams will be held on February 27 and 28, 2020.

It operates 364 mines in 83 mining areas across eight provincial states in India (West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh & Assam). It has recorded highest ever gross sales of ` 1,40,603 Crores with profit after tax of ` 17,462.18 Crores in financial year 2018-19. Around 72% of the entire power generated in the country is coal based. CIL produces over 83% of the country’s entire coal output. It virtually fuels and empowers the power sector in the country on a continual basis.
