Bennett University, a member of Times of India group, has started its B.Tech admission process for academic session 2020-21. The varsity’s admission process has started with the filling of online application forms at bennett.edu.in. The admission in B.Tech courses is based on JEE Main 2020 scores, 10+2 marks, SAT scores, IBDP total points. For biotechnology courses, NEET 2020 scores will also be accepted.
There will not be any separate entrance exam for Bennett University admissions. Thus prospective students need to ensure that they appear in the relevant national level exams whose scores are being accepted.
The application process includes registering online, verifying the email id and mobile number, filling the application form, and paying the application fee. After the application fee payment, candidates are also required to fill in some more details. The application fee is to be paid in online mode only and the fee is Rs. 1000.
To fill the online application form of Bennett University B.Tech admission 2020, candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination in either 2018 or 2019, or should be passing the same in 2020. Also, 60% minimum marks are needed in aggregate. Candidates must have also studied physics and maths as compulsory subjects, however, for admission in Biotechnology course, physics and biology or biotechnology subjects are compulsory.
Apart from the online form, candidates can also avail hard copy of the application form upon payment of Rs. 1000 from the university campus. After filling the same application form, they need to send it to the official address.
After sending /submitting the application form, candidates get a unique application number and an email acknowledgement receipt, along with further guidelines. Using this unique number, candidate can log in to bennett.edu.in to check the application status.
The specialisations offered under B.Tech courses are Biotechnology, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Engineering Physics and Mechanical. The total tuition fees per annum for these courses is Rs. 3,50,000.
However, candidates having 80% or above percentage marks in the 10+2 exam of CBSE board are eligible for tuition fee waiver scholarship of up to 100%.
The same goes for candidates with JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 percentile of 75 and above. Candidates with SAT scores of 1250 and above are also eligible for the same scheme. In addition to that candidates with IBDP total points of 32 and above fall under the eligibility of this scheme.
The total number of seats available in each of the B.Tech specialisations i.e. Biotechnology, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Engineering Physics, and Mechanical are 20, 660, 60, 20, and 40 respectively. Thus, the total number of seats that will be available for admission is 800.
There are overall 13 programmes offered by the University, 6 UG and 6 PG and 1 Ph.D. Benett University was founded by the Times Of India Group in the year 2016.
