Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has released a notification for the recruitment of Technician (Electrical). The recruitment is announced to fill up the vacant 608 posts. The newly appointed Technician (Electrical) is recruited under the pay scale of Rs. 27,200/-. The application process has started from July 01, 2020, onwards on the official website. Candidates can submit their forms before the last date to apply i.e July 22, 2020. While applying online, candidates must have all the prescribed educational qualifications. Those who have passed 10th standard with Maths and Science or its equivalent qualification can apply for the announced post. Along with this, they should also have NCVT/ SCVT in Electrical/ Electrician Trades. UPPCL calculates the age of the eligible candidates as on January 01, 2020. Those who have attained the minimum age limit of 18 years and not exceed the upper age limit for 40 years are eligible to apply. The age relaxations are granted to the SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy), Ex-Servicemen to the native of Uttar Pradesh. These candidates must read the official notification to know about the benefits of the reservation.
The link to apply for UPPCL Technician (Electrical) is active on the official website, uppcl.org. The first step in the application procedure is registration. For this, candidates must have an active email address and mobile number. On completion of the registration process, a User ID and password is generated and sent to the candidates. After the successful registration, candidates can proceed to submit the online Technician (Electrical) application form. SC/ST category candidates who are domicile of UP have to pay Rs.700/- whereas other candidates have to make a payment of Rs.1000/- as the fee. Aspirants can make the payment through NET Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/SBI Challan.
UPPCL conducts an online examination for the selection of eligible candidates. The examination is expected to be conducted in the second week of August 2020. The Computer Based Test is conducted for 03 hours. Candidates have to answer objective type questions. There are two parts of the CBT exam. First part is NIELIT CCC level computer test carrying 50 marks. Each question of UPPCL Technician recruitment carries 01 marks and negative marking of 0.25 marks. It is mandatory to secure a minimum of 20 marks in the exam. The second part is conducted with four subjects which are as follows, General Studies and Reasoning, General Hindi, General English and Technical Knowledge. The Second part of CBT is conducted for 200 marks. Out of this, candidates have to secure minimum 33.5% i.e. 67 marks to qualify.
