Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP), was scheduled to release the admit cards yesterday, May 29, 2022, for the upcoming UP polytechnic entrance exam 2022. In a surprising turn of events, the exam has been postponed due to issued with the conducting agency. A new agency has been shortlisted and assigned the responsibility of conducting the exam. Based on deliberations with the new body, a revised exam scheduled is going to be announced today, May 30, 2022.
Previously, the UP Polytechnic Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2022 was all set to be conducted on June 06 to 12, 2022. However, due to change in exam date, there seemed to be no point issuing admit cards yesterday, displaying the wrong exam date.

Oddly enough, the state council is yet to issue an official notice announcing the UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 postponement. However, a news report published today, informed candidates about the supposed postponement. It further explained the reason for rescheduling and date for announcing the new schedule.
As per the news report, the UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 was set to be conducted in the first and second week of June 2022. However, entrance exam and counselling schedule have been changed owing to conflict with the chosen agency.
A new tender agency has been assigned the responsibility of conducting the UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022. Head of the institute has clarified that new exam schedule shall be announced today. The announcement will most likely be issued on the official website jeecup.admissions.nic.in. Aspirants are advised to visit the official website frequently, for any update in this regard.
UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 Registration Extended Twice
The UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 registration began on February 15, 2022, on the official website. Initially, it was scheduled to end on April 17, 2022. However, due to lakh of applicants, the deadline was extended to April 30, 2022, followed by May 05, 2022.
Despite the UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 application deadline extension, the state received only 2,67,139 registrations. This is considerably less than 3,02,066 applications received in 2021. Moreover, the figure of 2.67 lakh is approximately equal to the 2,28,527 seats available in polytechnic institutions. Ideally, a substantial difference in number of applicants and available seats would counter the problem of latter going vacant.
As of now, there is no tentative date for UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022. However, the wait is likely to end today itself without any prolonged wait and confusion.
