The Uttar Pradesh government, under the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has launched the UP Digishakti portal. Using this portal, students who are studying in different colleges and universities in the state will get the benefits of the schemes. The government has been working on implementing the UP free laptop, smartphone and tablet schemes. Hence, the portal has been launched to meet the requirements of the same.

What is UP Digishakti Portal?

To implement the various student welfare schemes, the UP government will be using the Digishakti portal for distributing free laptops, smartphones, and tablets.

Students who are presently studying in the colleges and universities of the state can use this portal to access these schemes. Now, as per reports, the UP government is going to distribute 27 lakh electronic gadgets like smartphones, tablets, and laptops during the first phase of distribution. Consequently, data of these 27 lakh recipients have already been uploaded to the UP Digishakti portal.

Student Enquiry

As per various sources, it has come to light that the students will not be able to log in or register into the portal. Digishakti is only for the authorities of the concerned universities and colleges. It’s the universities and colleges that will have to log in and enter the required data. For that, the officials have to visit digishaktiup.in and enter user type, user ID, password, and captcha. Nevertheless, the app allows students to access it via the student corner. For that, they have to download the official app on their mobile phones first.

There, they have to enter their university, board, or council. After that, one has to enter their enrollment number followed by the captcha. The student will then have to click on the ‘Search’ button This will show the current status of the student and whether their university has enrolled them on the Digishakti app or not.

How to claim benefits from UP Digishakti?

Reports also suggest that the students will not have to enter any data on the app and as a result, they do not have any access to it. Moreover, it has been claimed that the data of 27 lakh students who will be getting the benefits of the various government schemes have already been uploaded. Now, it is only left to distribute the gadgets to the recipients.
