In the last four and a half years, the government has created new employment opportunities along with running many schemes for the welfare of the youth. In the government of four and a half years, four and a half lakh jobs have been given without any dispute.
Employment to 3.5 lakh youth on contract, 2 crore employment to 82 lakh MSME units through loan disbursement of 2.16 thousand crores, employment to 5 lakh youth through startup policy, employment to 1 crore women through 10 lakh self-help groups, etc. Opportunities have been created. Just yesterday, the Prime Minister inaugurated the International Airport in Kushinagar. This airport will create many new employment opportunities with immense potential for tourism development. The goal of the government is to completely eliminate unemployment in the state. During the tenure of the present government, crores of direct and indirect jobs have been created through various schemes. He said that such changes are being made in the curriculum under the new education policy so that today’s youth can become capable of getting and giving jobs. The government wants to prepare such youths who can contribute to realizing the dream of a self-reliant India in the coming times. Youth welfare efforts are also the foundation of self-reliant Uttar Pradesh.
While addressing the press conference, he said that investors are also coming forward to help fulfil the goal of enabling Uttar Pradesh. Investment proposals worth Rs 4.5 lakh crore have come in Uttar Pradesh, which is the highest ever. Out of these, work on investment proposals worth Rs 3 lakh crore has also started. Today UP has become a favourite destination of investors. The arrival of investment proposals of 56 thousand crores in the transition period like Corona also confirms this. The major reason for the investment proposals coming in the state in such quantity is the will of the government to change UP. For this, the government has emphasized the development of better law and order and infrastructure. Plenty of electricity, great roads, facilities has been made available to the investors at one click. Along with this, an environment of safety has also been created. Today the criminals have fled the state or are in jail. Mafiaraj is now a thing of the past. The implementation of the policy of zero tolerance towards crime has created fear in the minds of criminals. The mafia, who created fear in the public, is apologizing today. Dr Sharma said that the government of the double engine has done the work of transforming the state with a double dose of development. The government has moved ahead with the goal of inclusive growth. Every effort has been made to provide basic facilities to the people belonging to the weaker sections and the general public. With the positive change in the standard of living, people’s trust in the government has increased. In the new Uttar Pradesh of New India, houses of 42 lakh poor have been built. Similarly, 2.61 crore individual toilets have been constructed under the Swachh Bharat Mission. 1.56 crore free gas connections were given under Ujjwala scheme, while more than 01 crore 38 lakh free electricity connections have been provided under Saubhagya scheme. Under Ayushman Bharat, health insurance coverage has been given to 06 crore beneficiaries and a Rs 02 lakh social security guarantee has been given to 03 crore migrant resident workers. Apart from this, Rs 37521 crore has been transferred to 02 crore 53 lakh 98 thousand farmers since the inception of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. 08 lakh 80 thousand street vendors have been benefited through Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Yojana. Today the outlook of the country and the world about Uttar Pradesh has changed. The Deputy Chief Minister said that out of the schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana, Smart City Scheme, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program being implemented in the country, UP ranks first in the implementation of 44 schemes. Due to development, the state has become the second-largest economy of the country today. The economy of 11 lakh crores has become 22 lakh crores today. Per capita income has doubled. Today, there is a government in the state that works sensitively by imbibing the mantra of development.
Dr Sharma said that the challenge of improving the education system of the state was big, but the continuous efforts of the present government have converted that education system into A-grade system of the country. The education system of today’s UP is really showing the way to other states. The state infamous for copying has become a model for copy-less examination. A unique model of conducting mock-free examinations has been prepared using technology. Changes in the curriculum after independence have given new wings to the dreams of the students. The digital library built in UP is becoming a medium to pacify the curiosity of the students and increase their knowledge. The newly opened 12 universities are helping in spreading the light of knowledge. UP is also on top in the implementation of new education policy and is providing new opportunities. He said that the Covid management of the state government has been appreciated in the country and the world. UP is also at the fore in providing vaccine cover to the citizens of the state and 12 crore people have been vaccinated. Even today, more than 1.5 lakh tests are being done daily. The government has pursued the goal of Jeevan Bhi Jeevika Bhi in a balanced manner. Uttar Pradesh had maintained economic activities while keeping citizens safe in the second wave of Corona. Along with strengthening health facilities, the process of construction of medical colleges in every district has been started. The dream of corruption-free UP has now turned into reality. The Prime Minister has made such an arrangement that today, on a single click, the entire money of the beneficiary of any scheme reaches his account.
In the past, he honoured the students in the Pratibha Samman ceremony organized by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Avadh Province in Indira Gandhi Auditorium of Feroze Gandhi Degree College.
