The Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board (UKMSSB) released the official notification for their 2021 recruitment drive on 08 September, 2021, inviting applications for the post of Ordinary Grade Medical Officer. This drive is going to be conducted for a total of 359 backlog vacancies under the mentioned post, which comes under the domain of the Uttarakhand Provincial Medical & Health Services Cadre. According to the official notice, interested candidates, who fulfil the required eligibility criteria, can apply for the recruitment drive from tomorrow, i.e. September 10, 2021. The online application form will be made available on the official website – ukmssb.org.
The UKMSSB Recruitment 2021 application process shall be conducted from September 10 to September 30, 2021, up to 5 pm. Candidates are instructed to fill and submit the application form within the given deadline by logging on to ukmssb.org. However, before applying, candidates are advised to visit the official website and read all the information available. This includes the educational requirements, age prerequisites and other eligibility criteria needed to apply for the position.
As mentioned before, UKMSSB is conducting this recruitment drive for a total of 359 vacancies under the post of Ordinary Medical Officer. The notification for the same also specifically mentions that the number of vacancies will increase or decrease based on the authorities’ requirement. Furthermore, these vacancies are also being distributed in a category-wise manner.
According to the official notification, the pay scale of the post ranges from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 in accordance with the Level 10 pay scale. Apart from the pay scale, authorities have also provided a distribution of vacancies based on the category. Accordingly, the SC (Scheduled Castes) category has been allotted 208 vacancies, while 19 vacancies have been allotted to the ST (Scheduled Tribes) category. In addition, 103 vacancies have been reserved for the OBC (Other Backward Class) category, while 4 candidates will be chosen from the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category. Lastly, the unreserved or UR category has been given 25 vacancies, but these are reserved only for differently abled individuals.
UKMSSB authorities will be marking candidates out of 100 marks on the basis of 4 criteria, which are – 1. MBBS degree for 20 marks, 2. Post graduate or diploma degree for 10 marks, 3. Years of experience with a weightage of 20 marks and 4. Viva for a total of 50 marks. Meanwhile, NRI candidates will have to clear the exam conducted by the NBE (National Board Of Examination) to be eligible for this recruitment drive. However, based on their performance in these four aspects, authorities will be selecting candidates in accordance with the category to which they belong.
