The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the answer keys for the UGC NET 2021 examination. Candidates who have appeared for the examination in all three phases can now download and check the answer keys from the official website – ugcnet.nta.nic.in. With the release of answer keys, candidates now seem to be in search of the result date. However, so far, NTA has not provided any date as such on which the candidates can get their results.
The story so far:
As per the official notice, the provisional answer keys will be displayed till January 24, 2022. Candidates will have time up to 11:50 PM of the same date to released objections. After reviewing the objections raised by the candidates, NTA will release the final answer keys and announce the UGC NET result 2021.

To get an idea about the date on which the candidates can expect their UGC NET 2021 results, it is important to go through the previous years’ trends. For that, take a look at the table given below.
Year | Exam Date | Answer Key Release Date | Last Date for Objections | Result Date |
2019 | December 02 to 06, 2019 | December 11, 2019 | December 13, 2019 | December 31, 2019 |
2018 | December 18 to 22, 2022 | December 29, 2018 | January 01, 2019 | January 06, 2019 |
2017 | November 05, 2017 | December 12, 2017 | December 18, 2017 | January 02, 2018 |
2016 | July 10, 2016 | September 05, 2016 | September 09, 2016 | November 21, 2016 |
2015 | December 27, 2015 | February 02, 2016 | February 09, 2016 | April 12, 2016 |
As per previous year trends, the results are announced as early as 05 days and as late as 60 days from the last date of receiving objections against the provisional answer keys. Hence, if the last date for receiving objections is January 24, then the candidates can expect the UGC NET result 2021 date to be between January 29 and March 25, 2022. In other words, the results are likely to be announced within this timeline.
The decision of NTA in declaring the results along with publishing the final answer keys will be final. Prior to the declaration of results, NTA will also display the UGC NET 2021 question paper and recorded responses. They will be available on the official website for two to three days. It must be noted that the number of candidates who will qualify for the exam will be 6% of the total number of candidates who have appeared for both papers.
