National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully conducted Day 01 of the University Grants Commission National Entrance Test (UGC NET) 2021 examination today, November 20, 2021. A total of 36 papers were held today while 5 are slated for tomorrow, November 21, 2021. The exam was conducted at selected centres across the country. While some papers were held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the remaining were conducted from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
According to official records, a total of 860976 candidates had applied for the fellowship entrance exam in the June 2020 installment of the UGC NET examination. Out of which 526707 actually appeared for the exam. Around 10 lakh candidates apply for the UGC NET examination every year. However, since the December 2020 and June 2021 sessions have been merged, an increase in the number of applicants can be expected. Here is all candidates need to know.

Recently, NTA released admit cards for the UGC NET 2021 Day 3 and Day 4 exams. Admit cards are available for download on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Day 3 exam is going to be held on November 22, 2021, while Day 4 is scheduled on November 24, 2021. Candidates can download their admit cards using either of the two combinations – 1. Application Number & Date of Birth and 2. Application Number & Password.
This year, NTA has planned on conducting the UGC NET 2022 examination from November 20 to December 05, 2021. This exam is being held for determining the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professorship, Junior Research Fellowship, or both in Indian universities and institutes.
