Medical Recruitment Board (MRB), Tamil Nadu has issued a notice announcing a postponement in the Food Safety Officer Recruitment Drive 2021 application process. The notice has been posted on the official website mrb.tn.gov.in for candidates’ reference. Accordingly, the online application process is set to begin from Wednesday, October 13, 2021, rather than September 30, 2021. So, evidently, the application process has been postponed by two weeks. Eligible candidates who are interested in applying for this post can do so latest by October 28, 2021. Till that time, candidates can take a look at the tentative eligibility criteria to ascertain whether they are fit for the post or not.
MRB TN authorities had issued the official notification for the Food Security Officer Post on September 28, 2021. This notification clearly implied that the online application process shall commence from September 30, 2021. Online applications will be accepted up to October 21, 2021. Even the last date to pay the application fee was suggested as October 21, 2021. Thereafter, the computer-based or written examination was going to take place tentatively in November 2021.
The board authorities however, released a public notice on the same day of notification release, announcing a 2-week postponement in the MRB TN 2021 application process. This postponement was imposed due to the recently-enforced Model Code of Conduct for Local Body Elections. Apart from this, no other reasons were cited behind the delay in opening up the registration process.
Now, the question arises – will the computer-based exam also get delayed? Previously, MRB TN authorities were planning on conducting the written exam in November 2021. However, a sure-shot date was not specified. Hence, there are two possibilities – 1. The recruitment exam being held in November 2021 itself or 2. The exam getting postponed to December 2021 due to a 2-week delay.
