The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has announced its exam date for its Computer-based National Entrance test (TISS-NET). The entrance exam will be conducted on January 19, 2019, from 02:00 PM to 03:40 PM. The exam will be held in a single shift only. The Institute has announced the complete schedule for TISSNET 2019 at its website, admissions.tiss.edu.
The online registration for TISSNET 2019 will start from October 22, 2018. To appear for the entrance test, the candidates need to fill in details and submit the application form by December 10, 2018. The candidates can submit the TISSNET Application Form either by post or by online mode.
TISSNET is a computer-based which consist of MCQ type questions. The objective test will have questions related to General Knowledge, Analytical Ability, Logical Reasoning, and English Proficiency.
As per the official website, “There will be no negative marking for TISSNET 2019 including HRM. The candidates who have applied for a single programme or multiple programmes will be attempting a single question paper with 100 questions for a duration of 100 minutes, this includes candidates who have chosen HRM in combination with other programme/ programmes.”
The exam conducting body has also published the syllabus for TISSNET 2019. Hence, those who will be preparing for the entrance exam should refer to the syllabus given by the Institute.

It is always advised to the candidates to check the eligibility criteria before they proceed to apply for the entrance exam. The aspirants should have completed their Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent ( under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study.
At the time of applying for TISSNET 219, the candidates studying in the 3-year degree programme should have passed in all the subjects for the 1st to 4th semesters and candidates studying in 4-year degree programmes should have passed in all the subjects for 1st to 6th semester.
Those who will complete their final year of degree examination by June 08, 2019 are eligible to apply to all the program.
The shortlisting of candidates are done on the basis of marks obtained by them in the TISSNET. The shortlisted candidates are then eligible to appear for Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview (PIT/PI). The Pre-Interview Test/GD will be of 50 marks, whereas, Personal Interview will be of 75 marks.
