On September 17, 2018, a news made the sensation among the students. The news was about JKBOSE October exams. According to that news, JKBOSE 10th and 12th October exams will begin from October 24 and October 22, 2018, respectively. But the Department of Information and Public Relations, J&K has tweeted that this date sheet is all fake and JKBOSE has not released any date sheet regarding the October examinations. Further, it stated that the board will disclose the October exams date sheet very soon.
According to the reports, the date sheet was spread through some social media platforms. The date sheet was available in the scanned image file. But the Jammu and Kashmir Board has renounced this news. So, the students are advised not to follow that date sheet as the board will release the real date sheet on the official website jkbose.jk.gov.in.
When we found that date sheet, we saw that it was a proper schedule for the students. According to it, the October exams for class 10 will begin on October 24, 2018, and will end on November 14, 2018, while the dates are different for class 12 exams. On the date sheet, it was printed that the exams of class 12 will be held from October 22, 2018, and will be finished on November 15, 2018. Not only the dates but also there were the timings available for the same. It says that the October exams will be conducted from 1:30 pm. However, it seems that the date sheet is official. But DIPR of Jammu and Kashmir called it fake and stated that some miscreants are spreading this fake date sheet on the various social media websites and the board also advised the student to not believe this date sheet.
Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education is an organization which works for J&K state. The board is simply known as JKBOSE. JKBOSE was established in 1975. It was established under the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education. The board is responsible to conduct the exams for secondary as well as for the sr. secondary standards. Not only it conducts the exams but also it provides the curriculum or syllabus to the affiliated schools. There are 10,609 schools affiliated with the board. After the completion of the exams, JKBOSE also declares the result on its official website.
