Results for the Joint Entrance Examination or JEE Advanced 2021 have been declared on October 15, 2021. A total of 41,862 candidates have cleared the examination. However, like every year, the eyes were on the toppers. It turned that Mridul Agarwal secured the All India Rank 01 while Kavya Chopra who stood at the 98th position, was the topper among the female candidates. To know what helped them achieve this, take a look a look at the stories behind their success.
Mridul Agarwal who secured the (AIR) 01 has created history by securing 348 out of 360 marks. During his preparation, Mridul watched a lot of interviews in which toppers shared their success mantra. He wondered what exactly these toppers did to achieve that position. Now, he says that the key behind scoring well is focused preparation. When everything shifted to the online mode after the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Mridul started finding out new methods of discussion so that he could enhance himself. His method of studying was goal-oriented as he did not have fixed hours of study. He now plans to seek admission to the world’s top university. As a part of his future endeavour, Mridul wants to contribute to the Education and Tech sector of the country.
Kavya Chopra, who secured AIR 98, is the topper among the female students. She also secured the AIR 01 in JEE Mains by securing 300 out of 300 marks. Kavya’s interest in Mathematics is primarily because of her mother as she herself is a Mathematics teacher. In fact, this subject was one of the key factors that helped her select Engineering as her field. She now plans to join the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programme at IIT Delhi. However, she is yet to figure out her future plans. Nevertheless, she wants to work towards women’s representation in STEM. Her message to the upcoming aspirants is to do their work sincerely and work hard to achieve their goals.
AIR 03 holder Anant Lunia says that he had never expected the rank he secured. His strategy to ace the JEE Advanced 2021 exam was to remain confident about every topic. When there would be no tests, Anant spent 04 hours studying in a day. Like Kavya, he is also aiming to join the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programme at IIT Delhi. His message to the aspirants is to work on their mistakes. If there is any subject that the students find difficult, then they should work hard on them.
For Arnav Aditya Singh who scored AIR 09, the only dream as of now is to get into the Computer Science and Engineering programme at IIT Bombay. He believes that the two years’ hard work that the students put behind their preparation should be diligent. Arnav advised the budding aspirants to follow whatever the teachers have to say. For him, the revision plan at the last stage of preparation is very crucial to score well. He urged the candidates to look after their health and stay physically and mentally fit.
